DESCRIPTION
The insecticidal agent Confidant is a water-based emulsion concentrate in the form of a clear, light yellow liquid. The Confidant agent has an acute insecticidal effect against cockroaches, ants, bedbugs, fleas, flies and mosquitoes. Residual activity persists for 4-6 weeks.
COMPOSITION
Contains imidacloprid 20% as an active ingredient (DV) - a compound from the group of neonicotinoids, as well as an antioxidant, stabilizer, surfactant, water.
PROPERTIES
According to the degree of impact on the body of warm-blooded animals when administered into the stomach, it belongs to the III class of moderately dangerous, when exposed to the skin, to the IV class of low-hazard agents according to GOST 12.1.007-76. Vapors of agents in saturating concentrations refer to moderately hazardous substances according to the Criteria for the selection of pest control agents. With a single contact with the skin, a weak local irritant effect was found. When exposed to the mucous membranes of the eyes, it causes a moderate irritant effect. No sensitizing effect. The working emulsion in saturating concentrations during inhalation in the area of ​​acute (in the form of an aerosol) and subacute (in the form of vapors) biocidal effect belongs, respectively, to the II and IV classes of highly and low-hazard agents according to the Classification of the degree of hazard of disinsection agents.
With a single contact with the skin, it does not have a local effect; with repeated applications, the local irritating effect is weak (1 point). With repeated (10) contact with intact skin, the skin resorptive effect has not been established. When exposed to the mucous membranes of the eyes, the working water emulsion has a weakly pronounced irritating effect. No sensitizing effect has been established.
SHOE of imidacloprid in the air of the working area is 0.1 mg / m3 - II hazard class.
PURPOSE
The Confidant agent is intended for the destruction of cockroaches, ants, bedbugs, fleas, flies and mosquitoes by the personnel of organizations entitled to engage in disinfection activities at objects of various categories.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
For the extermination of insects, freshly prepared emulsions are used in concentrations of 1.000-0.009% by DV, which corresponds to a dilution of the concentrate of 8; 16 and 45 times, respectively.
To prepare working emulsions, the agent is diluted with water at room temperature, stirring evenly. The calculation of the amount of concentrate required for the preparation of working emulsions is given in the table.

When working with working water emulsions, spray equipment of various brands is used.
The consumption rate of the aqueous working emulsion is 50 ml / m2 (non-absorbent surface) and 100 ml / m2 (absorbent). The agent is removed from the treated surfaces with a wet method - with a rag with a soap and soda solution 24 hours after application, but no later than 3 hours before the start of the working day. From other places - after 4-6 weeks - after losing its effectiveness.
Extermination of cockroaches.
For the destruction of cockroaches, 0.05% (by DV) working water emulsions are used at a flow rate of 50 ml / m2, selectively treating surfaces in places of detection, localization and along the paths of insect movement. Particular attention is paid to holes and cracks in walls, in door frames, thresholds, along skirting boards, in claddings, as well as ventilation vents, joints of pipes of water supply, heating and sewage systems.
When treating surfaces that do not absorb moisture - tiles, glass and other modern coatings - the concentration of the working water emulsion can be reduced to 0.025% in terms of DV, and its consumption increased to 100 ml / m2.
Processing is carried out simultaneously in all rooms inhabited by cockroaches. With a high and very high population, adjacent premises are treated for prophylaxis: to prevent migration and subsequent colonization of cockroaches.
Repeated treatments are carried out when insects appear.
Extermination of ants.
To destroy gingerbread house and other species of ants that often penetrate the premises, they process paths of movement (paths) or places of congestion. Working water emulsions of 0.025% (in terms of DV) concentration are used. The treatments are repeated when ants appear.
Destruction of bedbugs.
For the destruction of bedbugs, 0.025% (by DV) working water emulsions are used. With an insignificant population of rooms with bed bugs, only their habitats are treated; with a large population and in the case of wall cladding with dry plaster, the places of their possible resettlement are also subject to processing; cracks along skirting boards, curbs, wallpaper lagging spots, around door, window frames and ventilation grilles, cracks in walls, furniture, as well as carpets on the back.
Do not handle bedding!
Simultaneous processing of all rooms is carried out only in dormitories, where frequent introduction of insects is possible.
Repeated treatments are carried out when bugs are found.
Flea control.
For the destruction of fleas, 0.0125% (by DV) working water emulsion is used, treating walls (to a height of 1 m), the floor surface in places where linoleum and baseboards lag behind, cracks behind the baseboards, carpets, paths on the back side.
When processing cluttered basements, these rooms are first cleaned of debris, and then thoroughly irrigated.
Repeated treatments are carried out according to entomological indications.
Destruction of flies.
For the destruction of adults of house flies or other species of flies, irrigate surfaces - places of insect landing - 2% by DV with a working water emulsion. It is advisable to use the intestinal method of exposure: prepare a food bait on the basis of the concentrate containing 0.5 or 1% DV and 70% sugar, which can be placed on substrates or smeared with a brush at the landing sites of flies in the premises, as well as external walls of buildings, garbage bins, garbage chambers and sandvor installations.
The consumption rate is 2-3 substrates of 3-5 g per room? 10 m2. The expense of the funds depends on the number of flies and the sanitary condition of the treated premises.
Repeated treatments are carried out when winged flies appear in the room.
Mosquito control
To destroy the adult mosquitoes, 0.0125% (according to the DV) working water emulsion is used, which is used to irrigate the mosquito landing sites in the room, as well as the outer walls of buildings or inside fences for garbage containers, where mosquitoes hide in hot weather.
To destroy mosquito larvae, 0.009% (by DV) working water emulsions are used, which are evenly sprayed over the surface of closed urban reservoirs: basements of residential buildings, sewage, fire-fighting tanks or open reservoirs of non-fishing value, where mosquito larvae reproduce.
The consumption rate is 100 ml per 1 sq. M. water surface.
Repeated treatments are carried out according to entomological indications - the appearance of live mosquito larvae. The treatments are repeated no more than 1 time per month.
PRECAUTIONS
The treatment of premises should be carried out in the absence of people, pets, including birds, with open windows. Food and utensils should be removed or carefully covered before processing. When processing workshops of industrial enterprises, first remove and carefully cover products that can adsorb the agent. Processing in children's and food institutions should be carried out on sanitary or weekend days. After processing, the room should be well ventilated for at least 30 minutes in the absence of people, then wet cleaning using a soap-and-soda solution.
Premises treated with the agent cannot be used before cleaning, which is carried out later than 3 hours before using the facility for its intended purpose. Cleaning is carried out with gloves using a soda solution (30-50 g of soda ash per 1 liter of water).
Those working with the product must observe the following precautions: before starting to work with the product, the disinfectant instructs them on safety and first aid measures. Persons conducting disinfestation, packaging of the product, preparation of emulsions must use personal protective equipment.
Every 45-50 minutes of working with the product, you must take a break for 10-15 minutes, during which it is imperative to go out into the fresh air, taking off your overalls, respirator or gas mask.
