Composition and release form: A tablet of cobalt chloride contains 0.04 g of cobalt chloride, 0.92 - 0.95 g of sodium chloride and talc up to 1 g. The drug in appearance is a flat-cylindrical tablet with a risk, from light - pink to violet (violet blotches are allowed) with a diameter of 10 mm and a weight of 1 g. Packaged by 1 kg in plastic film bags.

Pharmacological properties: Cobalt participates in hematopoiesis, synthesis of nucleic acids, muscle proteins, supports tissue respiration, promotes the absorption of vitamins A, E, C, B12. It is part of the enzymatic systems that regulate protein, carbohydrate and mineral metabolism. Cobalt stimulates the production of erythropoietins, which determine the differentiation of bone marrow stem cells into erythroblasts, and also enhances the ionization of iron, accelerating the maturation of erythroide cells and the formation of full-fledged well-hemoglobinized erythrocytes.

Indications: Prescribed for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes for hypocobaltosis, accompanied by metabolic disorders, anemia, perversion and loss of appetite, progressive exhaustion and changes in the coat, as well as to improve enzymatic processes in the ruminants' proventricles.

Doses and method of administration: Before use, a tablet of cobalt chloride is diluted in boiled water in a ratio of 1 tablet per 1000 ml of water. For prophylactic purposes, the resulting solution is administered to animals in the autumn-spring period for two weeks once a day in the following doses: cattle 250 - 400 ml, calves 100 - 200 ml, sheep and goats 25 - 50 ml, lambs and piglets 5 - 12 ml. For therapeutic purposes, the solution is given within a month in the following doses: cattle 500 - 1000 ml, calves 200 - 500 ml, sheep and goats 75 - 125 ml, lambs and piglets 10 - 25 ml.

Side effects: With proper use and dosage, side effects are usually not observed.

Contraindications: Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug.

Special instructions: Products from animals to which the drug was used are used without restrictions.

Storage conditions: Store in a dry, dark place, out of reach of children and animals, at temperatures from 0 to 30 В° C. Shelf life is 2 years.
