Dosage and administration
1 filter bag (1, 5 g) is placed in a glass or enamel dish, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of boiling water, cover and insist at room temperature for 30 minutes. The filter bag is squeezed out, the volume of the obtained infusion is adjusted to 200 ml with boiled water.
Adults and children over 12 years of age, the infusion is prescribed orally in the form of heat, 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day. Children from 1 year to 3 years - 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day from 3 to 5 years - 1 dessert spoon 2-3 times a day from 5 to 12 years - 1 dessert spoon 3-4 times a day . The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks. Before use, it is recommended to shake the infusion.
If there is no improvement after treatment or if new symptoms appear, consult a doctor.
Side effects
Allergic reactions are possible.
At prolonged use with excess of the specified dosages it is possible to increase blood pressure, hypokalemia, appearance of peripheral edema due to disturbance of water-salt metabolism.
Drug Interaction
The simultaneous administration of other medicines used in the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases is possible.
Should not be used concurrently with codeine-containing drugs and other antitussive agents, as this makes it difficult to clear out the liquefied phlegm.
