Closanthin 20% 100ml

DESCRIPTION

Injection closantin (Closantin pro inectionibus) is a drug in the form of a 20% solution intended for the treatment and prevention of trematodes, nematodes and gadfly infestations in cattle and sheep. It is a clear liquid from light yellow to dark yellow.

COMPOSITION

Injectable closanthine as an active ingredient (DV) in 1 ml contains 200 mg of closantel, as well as auxiliary components (novocaine, polyethylene oxide-400, benzyl alcohol, polyvinylpyrrolidone, ethyl alcohol and water for injection).

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Closantel, which is part of the drug, has a wide spectrum of antiparasitic action, is active against trematodes - Fasciola hepatica, Fasciola gigantica, (again, we first write about trematodes) larval and sexually mature phases of nematode development, including Haemonchus spp., Nematodrongylhostus spp. ., Ostertagia spp, Oesophagostomum radiatum, Bunostomum sp., Chabertia ovis, as well as larvae of the gadflies Hypoderma bovis, Hypoderma lineatum and Oestrus ovis, parasitizing in cattle and small ruminants.

Injection closanthine in terms of the degree of impact on the body belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76); in recommended doses it is well tolerated by animals, does not have a local irritant, embryotoxic, teratogenic, mutagenic and sensitizing effect.

PURPOSE

Injectable closantin is prescribed for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes: cattle with fascioliasis, haemonchiasis, esophagostomiasis, bunostomiasis, trichostrongylosis, ostertagiasis and hypodermatosis, sheep - with fascioliasis, haemonhoses, nematodirosis butosteriasis, triechostomiasis.

APPLICATION

The drug is administered to animals once in compliance with the rules of asepsis and antiseptics: cattle intramuscularly or subcutaneously, sheep - subcutaneously, in doses indicated in tables No. 1 and No. 2.

If the volume of the injected solution exceeds 10 cm? to avoid a painful reaction, it should be administered to the animal in two or three places.

Before mass processing, each batch of the drug is tested on a small group (5–7 heads) of low-value animals. In the absence of complications within 3 days, the drug is used for the entire livestock.

Treatment of animals against gastrointestinal nematodes for therapeutic purposes is carried out according to indications, with prophylactic treatment - before stalling and in the spring before pasture, against gadfly infestations - immediately after the end of summer of gadflies.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Milk animals, as well as weakened, exhausted and sick with infectious diseases, animals, as well as cows and sheep, are not subject to processing less than 30 days before giving birth and within 30 days after giving birth.

Closanthine injection should not be used simultaneously with organochlorine and organophosphate insectoacaricidal drugs.

SIDE EFFECTS

With subcutaneous administration of the drug to cattle, in rare cases, a swelling may appear at the injection site, which spontaneously disappears within 2-3 days.

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlier than 28 days after the drug is used. In case of forced slaughter of a previously established period, the meat can be used for animal feed or for processing into meat and bone meal.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Empty vials from a medicinal product must not be used for domestic purposes, they are placed in a plastic bag and disposed of.

Areas of workplaces and transport contaminated with the drug are neutralized with 5% sodium hydroxide solution.

PRECAUTIONS

When working with a medicinal product, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety measures provided for when working with medicinal products in accordance with SanPin 1.2.1077-01.

FIRST AID MEASURES

In case of accidental contact of the drug on the skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water; in case of contact with eyes, rinse them thoroughly with running water; in case of contact with the digestive tract, immediately consult a doctor.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Store the drug with caution in the manufacturer's packaging, in a dry, dark place, separately from food and feed at a temperature of 5 В° C to 25 В° C. Expiration date - 2 years from the date of manufacture.
