DESCRIPTION

Cider (Cidr) - a preparation for the synchronization of the hunting of cattle and the treatment of anestrus. In appearance, it is an oval-shaped or T-shaped capsule (12x15 cm in size) made of silicone elastomer, deposited on a nylon base with a polypropylene cord (tail) that serves to extract the device.

COMPOSITION

As an active ingredient, it contains progesterone - 1.94 g and auxiliary components: silicone elastomer (SiLantic Q7-4840 Рђ \ Р’ Medical Grade Silicone Rudder LSR) and nylon.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Pharmacotherapeutic group: hormones and their antagonists.

When CIDR is injected into the vagina, progesterone is released from the capsule at a constant rate and penetrates through the vaginal mucosa into the bloodstream. Progesterone inhibits the hypothalamic-pituitary system, as a result of which there is no release of follicle-stimulating hormones (FSH) and luteinizing hormones (LH), and as a result, follicle maturation and ovulation do not occur.

After removing the drug from the vagina, the level of progesterone in the blood decreases within 4 to 6 hours, the content of gonadotropic hormones FSH and LH in the blood increases, which contribute to the development of follicles and their ovulation.

According to the degree of impact on the body, cider belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76).

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

Cider is used to synchronize the estrus of cattle and to treat anestrus. Before using the drug, the U- or T-shaped antennae are folded along the capsule and in this form the capsule is placed in the applicator. The external genital organs of the cow are sanitized, the tip of the applicator is lubricated with petroleum jelly and carefully inserted into the vagina to a depth of 15 - 20 cm. After that, gently pressing the applicator piston, the capsule is inserted into the vagina. The applicator itself is carefully removed from the vagina. After the introduction of the drug, the antennae inside the vagina straighten, and the capsule is securely fixed in it. The end of the cord for removing the capsule is left outside.

Cider is injected into the vagina of the animals using a special applicator (supplied separately): to synchronize hunting in cattle for a period of 7 to 12 days. Immediately after removing the drug, the animal is injected with Dinolytic in a dose of 5 ml. Animals come into heat 36 - 96 hours after the extraction of the Cider preparation, the bulk of cows and heifers come into heat in 72 hours; for the treatment of cows with anestrus for 7 days, after extraction, chorionic gonadotropin is administered at a dose of 400 IU. Most of the animals come to hunt within 48 to 72 hours after cider extraction.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Overdose symptoms have not been identified in animals.

When the drug is administered to animals with low fatness or to animals whose feeding level does not correspond to their physiological state, the effectiveness of the drug may be reduced.

The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first administration and during its withdrawal were not revealed.

Avoid skipping the administration of the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy. If one dose is missed, it is necessary to enter it as soon as possible, then the interval between injections of the drug does not change.

No interactions with other drugs have been found.

Milk and animal meat can be used for human consumption without restrictions. In case of forced slaughter, the drug is removed from the vagina.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

The use of the drug is contraindicated in case of vaginal pathology, as well as with increased sensitivity of animals to the components of the drug.

Cider is not intended for use during pregnancy.

SIDE EFFECTS

As a rule, side effects and complications are not observed when using CIDR in accordance with this instruction in farm animals.

In rare cases, in some animals, irritation of the skin around the vagina is possible. These phenomena disappear immediately after removing the capsule from the vagina.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions in a sealed package, is 3O months from the date of manufacture. The medicinal product must not be used after the expiration date.

Store the drug in the manufacturer's closed packaging in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5 В° C to 30 В° C.

CIDR is produced packaged in 1O doses in polyethylene or laminated bags, the outer layer of which consists of paper, and the inner layer of aluminum foil, coated on both sides with polyethylene.
