DESCRIPTION
Chloramine B - a disinfectant is a sodium salt of benzenesulfonic acid chloramide (not less than 98.0%), produced in the form of a white crystalline powder with a chlorine smell. It is used in the form of activated, non-activated solutions and powder.
COMPOSITION
The content of active chlorine in the product is not less than 25.0%.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Chloramine B has an antimicrobial effect against bacteria (including mycobacterium tuberculosis), viruses, fungi of the genus Candida, dermatophytes, causative agents of especially dangerous infections - anthrax, plague, cholera, tularemia.
According to the parameters of acute toxicity according to GOST 12.1.007-76, Chloramine B belongs to the 3rd class of moderately hazardous substances when administered into the stomach, to the 4th class of low-hazard substances when applied to the skin and according to the degree of volatility, moderately toxic when administered parenterally, has a local irritant effect on the skin and pronounced - on the mucous membranes of the eyes; has a sensitizing effect.
Working solutions in the form of vapors do not cause irritation of the respiratory system, with a single exposure they do not have a local irritating effect on the skin, with repeated exposure it causes dryness and peeling of the skin, with contact with the eyes they cause slight irritation.
Working solutions when used by irrigation, as well as activated solutions, cause severe irritation of the respiratory system and eyes.
The maximum concentration limit for chlorine in the air of the working area is 1 mg / m3.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Chloramine B is used in the form of solutions that are not activated and activated with ammonium salts or ammonia.
Working solutions of the agent are prepared in an enamel, glass or polyethylene container by stirring the powder in water until complete dissolution in accordance with the calculations given in tables 1 and 2.

Solutions of the agent are used for disinfection of surfaces in rooms (floor, walls, doors, hard furniture, etc.), sanitary equipment (baths, sinks, etc.), rubber mats, cleaning material, linen, tableware, laboratory and for secretions, toys, patient care items, medical products made of corrosion-resistant metals, glass, plastics, rubbers, secretions (sputum, feces, etc.), sanitary transport.
It is allowed to use solutions of Chloramine B with the addition of a synthetic detergent approved for pre-sterilization cleaning of medical devices, in an amount of 0.5% (5 g / l solution or 50 g / 10 l solution).
Disinfection of objects is carried out by means of wiping, irrigation, immersion, soaking and falling asleep.
Surfaces in rooms (floor, walls, etc.), sanitary equipment (baths, sinks, etc.), sanitary vehicles are wiped with a rag soaked in a solution of the product or irrigated from a hydraulic control unit, an automax, a sprayer of the 'Quasar' type. The consumption rate of the solution for wiping is 150 ml / m2 of the surface, when using a solution with a detergent - 100 ml / m2, for irrigation - 300 ml / m2 (hydraulic control panel, automax), - 150 ml / m2 (spray type 'Quasar') ... At the end of disinfection, sanitary equipment is washed with water, the room is ventilated.
Rubber mats are disinfected by wiping with a cloth soaked in a solution of the agent, or immersion in the solution of the agent; at the end of the disinfection exposure, they are washed with running drinking water.
The linen is soaked in a container with a solution of the product at a consumption rate of 5 l / kg of dry linen. The container is tightly closed with a lid. At the end of disinfection, the linen is washed and rinsed.
The cleaning material is soaked in a solution of the product, at the end of the disinfection, rinse and dry.
Tableware, freed from food debris, laboratory, dishes from the discharge are completely immersed in the solution of the product. The consumption rate of the solution is 2 liters per 1 set of tableware. The container is closed with a lid. After disinfection, the dishes are washed with water until the chlorine smell disappears.
Disinfection of patient care items, toys is carried out by means of irrigation, wiping or immersion in a solution of the product. At the end of disinfection, they are washed with water until the chlorine odor disappears. When disinfecting medical devices, they are completely immersed in the working solution of the agent. The channels and cavities in the products are filled with the help of auxiliary means (pipettes, syringes) with a solution, avoiding the formation of air plugs; detachable products are immersed in a disassembled solution. Products with locking parts are immersed open, having previously made them several working movements for better penetration of the solution into hard-to-reach areas of products in the area of ​​the locking part. The thickness of the solution layer of the product above the products must be at least 1 cm.
After disinfection, metal and glass items are washed under running water for 3 minutes, and those made of rubbers and plastics - at least 5 minutes.
Sputum is poured with a solution of the agent in a container (at a ratio of 1 part of sputum: 2 parts of solution) and mix thoroughly.
Liquid discharge and feces are covered with powder of the product and mixed thoroughly.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Persons with hypersensitivity to chlorine-containing products are not allowed to work with the product.
All work with the product and its solutions is carried out with the protection of the skin of the hands with rubber gloves.
Work with solutions of the agent using the irrigation method should be carried out with respiratory protection with universal respirators such as RPG-67 or RU-60M with a B cartridge and eyes - sealed glasses. Carry out the processing in the absence of patients and patients. After treatment, ventilate the room for 30 minutes.
All work with activated solutions of the agent should be carried out in a protective suit and in a GP-80 gas mask.
The treated areas should be ventilated for 15-30 minutes.
The product should be stored in a cool, dark place out of the reach of children, separate from medicines and food.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the product in an unopened manufacturer's packaging is 6 years; the shelf life of unactivated solutions is 15 days (provided that they are stored in a dark, cool place in a closed container). Activated solutions are used immediately after preparation.
