Celandine Maximum drops for cats 3 pipette tube 1 ml
DESCRIPTION
Celandine Maximum drops (Chistotel Maximum drops) - solution for external use to combat ectoparasites of cats and kittens. The drug is a clear oily liquid of light yellow color.
COMPOSITION
Celandine Maximum drop in 1 ml contains fipronil - 47.5 mg, permethrin - 9.5 mg as active substances, and monoethyl ether, polyethylene glycol 400, lavender essential oil and isopropyl alcohol as auxiliary substances of diethylene glycol.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Celandine Maximum drops belong to the group of combined insectoacaricidal drugs.
Fipronil and permethrin, which are part of the drug, have a contact insect-acaricidal effect on the mature and immature phases of development of fleas (Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis), lice (Linognathus setosus), lice-eating ticks (Trichodectes canis) and sarxoptoid dogs ...
The mechanism of action of fipronil is to disrupt the passage of chlorine ions in the GABA-dependent receptors of ectoparasite, disrupt the transmission of nerve impulses and the activity of the nervous system, which leads to paralysis and death of arthropods.
The mechanism of action of permethrin is to block the transmission of nerve impulses, which causes impaired coordination of movements, paralysis and death of ectoparasites.
Celandine Maximum drops in terms of the degree of impact on the body belong to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), do not have a local irritant and skin resorptive effect.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Celandine Maximum drops are used in dogs and cats, as well as puppies and kittens over 3 months of age with entomoses (fleas, lice, lice), otodectosis, sarcoptic mange, notoedrosis, ixodid ticks, as well as to prevent the attack of ectoparasites on animals.
The drug is applied to animals by drip application to dry intact skin (16 drops corresponds to a volume of 0.5 ml). With otodectosis (ear scabies), 1-3 drops of the drug are instilled into the previously cleaned auricles. Every 3 - 5 days, the procedure is repeated until recovery.
With a therapeutic purpose for sarcoptic mange of dogs and notoedrosis of cats, the drug is used 2-4 times, with an interval of 7-10 days until the animal's clinical recovery, which is confirmed by two negative results of acarological studies; in order to prevent possible invasion - once a month. Treatment is recommended in a comprehensive manner, with the use of etiotropic, pathogenetic and symptomatic drugs.
When attacked by ixodid ticks, apply the drug in the amount of 1 drop directly to the tick. If the tick does not spontaneously fall off within 20 minutes, it is carefully pulled out of the skin with tweezers and destroyed.
