PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Celandine insecticidal shampoo belongs to the group of insecticidal preparations. Permethrin, which is part of the drug, has a contact insecticidal effect on fleas, lice and lice parasitizing dogs and cats.

The mechanism of action of permethrin is to block the transmission of nerve impulses by disrupting the functioning of sodium channels in the membranes of nerve cells, which causes impaired coordination of movements, paralysis and death of ectoparasites.

According to the degree of effect on the body, the drug belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in recommended doses it does not have a local irritating and sensitizing effect, it causes weak irritation of the mucous membranes. Toxic to fish and bees.

MODE OF APPLICATION

Before treatment, the skin and hair of the animal is abundantly moistened with warm water, and then shampoo is applied at the rate of 0.5-1.0 ml per 1 kg of the animal's weight, spread over the entire surface of the body and rubbed lightly until foam forms, avoiding contact with the eyes and preventing licking the drug by animals. After 2-3 minutes, the shampoo is thoroughly washed off with warm water, the wool is combed and dried.

Repeated processing of animals is carried out according to entomological parameters.

To prevent re-infestation of animals with fleas, the litter is replaced or treated with the preparation diluted with water (1: 2), with a consumption rate of 10 ml / m2 of the treated surface. For three days, do not allow the animal to come into contact with the treated bedding, and before subsequent use, wash it with detergent.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Contraindication to use is increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug. Weakened, emaciated, sick with infectious diseases and recovering animals cannot be processed.

Pregnant, lactating females, puppies and kittens under 8 weeks of age cannot be processed.
