DESCRIPTION
Carsulen is a drug for the prevention and treatment of metabolic disorders in cows.
COMPOSITION
Karsulen contains homeopathic substances as active ingredients: 2% Cardus marianus D3, 1% Sulfur D6 and 1% Arsenycum album D6 and as an auxiliary component: isotonic sodium chloride solution up to 100%.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The active components that make up Karsulen have a mutual synergistic effect, which leads to the potentiation of the action of each of them. Cardus marianus (milk thistle) has a stimulating effect on the liver and the portal vein system, improves glucose metabolism. Sulfur (sulfur) improves the protein-secretory function of the liver, increases the reactivity of the body. Arsenycum album (white arsenic) has a protective effect on hepatocytes against toxic phenomena caused by tissue breakdown, septic processes and a violation of protein, carbohydrate and fat metabolism. According to the degree of impact on the body, Karsulen belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in the recommended doses it does not have a local irritating, allergenic, embryotoxic, teratogenic effect.
The use of Karsulen does not exclude the use of specific and pathogenetic therapy.
INDICATIONS
Karsulen is used in cows for the prevention and treatment of metabolic disorders in cows (ketosis, postpartum paresis, alimentary hepatitis, obesity, deterioration of the general condition).
APPLICATION
Karsulen is administered to cows intramuscularly or subcutaneously at the rate of 1 ml per 100 kg of animal weight, the dose volume should not be less than 5 ml per animal. For the prevention of ketosis in cows showing signs of obesity for 2? 3 weeks before the expected calving, it is used twice with an interval of 48 hours. For cows in the postpartum period, during the comprehensive prevention of ketosis and postpartum complications, the drug is used three times, starting from 3 days after calving with an interval of 48 hours. In the postpartum period, during the complex therapy of postpartum paresis in cows, Karsulen is used intramuscularly or subcutaneously 1? 2 times a day. The course of treatment depends on the duration of the complex therapy.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Livestock products during the treatment period and after the last application of Karsulen are allowed to be used without restrictions.

PRECAUTIONS
When working with Carsulen, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety precautions provided for when working with medicines. Do not drink, smoke or eat while working with Carsulen. At the end of work, hands should be washed with warm water and soap.
