DESCRIPTION
CantarenВ® is an injection solution for the prevention and treatment of kidney and urinary tract diseases accompanied by urological syndrome in cats, dogs and fur animals. In appearance, the drug is a colorless transparent liquid.
COMPOSITION
As active ingredients it contains matrix tinctures of plant, organic origin and mineral components (in 1000 ml) Berberis vulgaris O = D1 0.03 ml, Lytta vesicatoria O = D1 0.3 Ојl, Hepar sulfuris D4 0.2 mg, Cuprum arsenicosum D6 0.02 Ојl and excipients methyl parahydroxybenzoate - 0.5 g, sodium chloride - 5.8 g, sodium acetate trihydrate - 2.0 g, hydrochloric acid to pH 5.4, ethyl alcohol 95% - 5.26 g, water for injection up to 1000 ml.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Cantaren belongs to the combined homeopathic medicines. It has saluretic (promotes the excretion of calculi), anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and diuretic action, activates reparative processes in the kidneys and urinary tract.
According to the degree of impact on the body, the drug belongs to low-hazard substances (hazard class 4 in accordance with GOST 12.1.007-76), does not have a local irritating and sensitizing effect.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Cantaren is prescribed to cats, dogs, fur animals for the prevention and treatment of diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract, accompanied by urological syndrome, including urolithiasis, cystitis and urethritis.
Cantaren injections are used intramuscularly or subcutaneously: in order to prevent diseases, once a day, in courses of 14 days, twice a year; in the acute course of the disease 1-2 times a day for 5-10 days; with subacute and chronic course of the disease 2-3 times a week.
The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the veterinarian, but it should not exceed 30 days.
A single dose of the drug per animal is 0.1 ml / 1 kg of animal weight.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Symptoms of drug overdose in animals have not been established.
The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and cancellation have not been established.
Avoid gaps in the introduction of the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic and prophylactic efficacy. If one dose is missed, the use of the drug should be resumed as soon as possible in the same dose and according to the same scheme.
The use of Cantaren does not exclude the use of other drugs for etiotropic, pathogenetic and symptomatic therapy.
The drug is not intended for use in productive animals.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to the use of Cantarene is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to its components.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using Cantaren in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not noted. In case of increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug and the occurrence of allergic reactions, the use of the drug is discontinued and antihistamines and symptomatic therapy are prescribed to the animal.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
Cantaren is stored in sealed manufacturer's packaging, separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight at a temperature of 0 to 25 В° C.
The shelf life of the drug in injection, subject to storage conditions in the manufacturer's sealed packaging, is 3 years from the date of production, after the first opening of the bottle - 21 days.
PACKAGING
Cantaren is produced packaged in 100 ml in glass bottles sealed with rubber stoppers and aluminum roll-up caps. Each packing unit is accompanied by instructions for use.
