Pharmacological action
Combined drug.
Paracetamol has an antipyretic and analgesic effect: it reduces the pain syndrome observed with colds - sore throat, headache, muscle and joint pain, reduces fever.
Phenylephrine has a vasoconstrictor effect - it reduces swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract and sinuses.
Pheniramine has an anti-allergic effect: it eliminates itching of the eyes, nose and throat, swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membranes of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx and adnexa of the nose, reduces exudative manifestations. Caffeine has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, which leads to a decrease in fatigue and drowsiness, to increase mental and physical performance.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of colds, flu, SARS (fever and pain, rhinorrhea).
Special instructions
Before taking the drug, a doctor’s consultation is necessary if: taking metoclopramide, domperidone, colestyramine, anticoagulants (warfarin).
During the period of treatment should refrain from taking alcohol, sleeping pills and anxiolytic (tranquilizers) drugs. Do not take with other medicines containing paracetamol. Caution should be exercised when performing work requiring concentration, increased speed of motor and mental reactions. If symptoms persist within 3-5 days, consult a doctor.
To avoid the toxic effects of liver damage, paracetamol SHOULD NOT BE COMBINED WITH ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, AND ALSO TAKE PERSONS THOSE WHO ARE CHRONIC USE OF ALCOHOL.

Dosage and administration
Pour the contents of 1 sachet (sachet) into a glass, add hot water, mix until completely dissolved and drink (sugar or honey can be added if desired). It is necessary to take the drug with plenty of fluids, 1 to 2 hours after eating. Adults and children over 15 years of age: take one sachet 3-4 times a day with intervals between doses of 4-6 hours. The maximum daily dose is 4 sachets.
The drug is not recommended for more than five days as an anesthetic and more than three days as an antipyretic without prescribing and monitoring a doctor.
An increase in the daily dose of the drug or the duration of treatment is possible only under the supervision of a doctor. Do not exceed the indicated dose. In case of overdose, consult a doctor immediately, even if you feel well.
Side effects
Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema.
From the nervous system: dizziness, violation of falling asleep, increased irritability.

Drug Interactions
Enhances the effects of MAO inhibitors, sedatives, ethanol. Antidepressants, antiparkinsonian drugs, antipsychotics, phenothiazine derivatives - increase the risk of urinary retention, dry mouth, and constipation. Glucocorticosteroids increase the risk of developing glaucoma. Paracetamol reduces the effectiveness of uricosuric drugs. Chlorpheniramine simultaneously with MAO inhibitors, furazolidone, can lead to hypertensive crisis, excitement, hyperpyrexia. The simultaneous administration of halothane increases the risk of ventricular arrhythmias. Phenylephrine reduces the hypotensive effect of guanethidine. Guanethidine enhances alpha-adrenostimulating, and tricyclic antidepressants - the sympathomimetic effect of phenylephrine.
With the simultaneous administration of the drug with barbiturates, diphenin, carbamazepine, rifampicin and other inducers of microsomal liver enzymes, the risk of developing hepatotoxic effects of paracetamol increases.
