Bromed 1kg
This product requires special training when used.
DESCRIPTION
Rodenticidal agent Bromed is a blue liquid concentrate
COMPOSITION
As an active ingredient (DV), brodifacum is 0.25%. The composition of the product includes: bitrex (bitter component), which protects baits based on this concentrate from being eaten by birds, and reduces the risk of accidental poisoning of people and non-target species of animals, a dye, a stabilizer, an antioxidant and triethylene glycol (solvent).
PROPERTIES
Food baits prepared on the basis of Bromed containing 0.005% brodifacum have high rodenticidal activity against rats and mice. The eatability of the poisoned bait is 42.01% of the daily diet in rats, and 60.63% in mice. The death of rats occurs on days 4-8 (5.3 days on average), the death of mice - on days 4-6 (4.8 days on average). The clinic of poisoning is typical for anticoagulants: an increase in blood clotting, leading to bleeding, and then to the death of rodents.
The active ingredient of the agent - brodifacum - belongs to the I class of extremely dangerous substances according to GOST 12.1.007-76. DL50 when injected into the stomach of rats is 0.42-0.56 mg / kg, mice - 0.4 mg / kg. When applied to the skin of rabbits, the DL50 is 0.25-0.62 mg / kg, rats - 3.2-5.2 mg / kg. LC50 very low: 50 mg / m3 (aerosol). It has a pronounced cumulative effect (Kkum. <1). When reapplied to the skin, a dermal-resorptive effect is established, local irritant properties are weakly expressed.
According to the parameters of acute toxicity, Bromed belongs to the II class of highly hazardous in terms of acute toxicity after a single injection into the stomach of rats and mice, and when applied to the skin of rats - to the III class of moderately hazardous according to the Classification of toxicity and hazard of rodenticides. Has no inhalation hazard at saturating vapor concentrations. According to the degree of volatility - IV hazard class. It has a pronounced cumulative effect (Kkum. - 0.4). Does not have a local irritant effect when applied to the skin once. Does not irritate the mucous membranes of the eyes. It is characterized by the potential danger of skin-resorptive action.
SHOES of brodifacum in the air of the working area - 0.001 mg / m3 (aerosol) - I hazard class.
PURPOSE
Means Bromed is intended for the preparation of poisoned baits for the destruction of rats and mice and their use at facilities of various categories by personnel of organizations entitled to engage in disinfection activities.
MODE OF APPLICATION
Cooking poisoned baits.
Poisoned bait for combating rodents (rats, mice) is prepared by mixing Bromed with benign food products (refined grain, cereals, granulated feed, etc.).
The composition of the food base is selected taking into account the nutritional characteristics of different types of rodents and the specifics of the food base at specific sites. Crushed grain or cereals are used in mouse baits.
To prepare a poisoned bait containing 0.005% brodifacum, you need to take 20 g of Bromed per 1 kg of food base. The required amount of concentrate is slowly added to the food base and thoroughly mixed until the color is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
For further storage and transportation of the prepared bait, a hermetically sealed container with a label is used, the text of which must necessarily contain the name, date of manufacture, prescription: it is used only by personnel of organizations entitled to engage in disinfection activities, as well as a warning inscription TOXIC!
Mode of application.
The bait is placed in previously identified rodent habitats (along walls, partitions, near burrows, etc.), laid out in dry places under shelters using adapted containers (bait boxes, drainage pipes, trays, boxes) or special containers. The latter are preferable because increase the eatability of the product, preventing it from being taken away by rodents, and also complicate access to the bait for non-target species of animals. When house mice are exterminated, the bait is laid out throughout the entire volume of the room: on the floor, shelves, mezzanines, etc.
The bait is laid out in 50-100 g from rats or 10-25 g from mice.
The distance between the bait placement points is 2-15 m, depending on the clutter of the premises and the number of rodents. Since the portions of bait from mice are smaller than from rats, they are laid out more often, i.e. every 2-5 m.
The laid out bait is inspected 1-2 days after the layout, and then at intervals of 1 week. The portions in which the bait is partially or completely eaten are replenished to the original volume or twice as much. Portions left untouched by rats or mice for more than a week are transferred to other places visited by rodents. Contaminated or spoiled bait is replaced with a new one. The work is carried out until the disappearance of rodents.
Due to the possibility of secondary poisoning, the corpses of rodents should be collected regularly (until the end of the work) for their subsequent burial or incineration.
At the end of the work, the remains of the bait and containers from under the baits are collected for reuse (if they are suitable for these purposes) or for subsequent burial.
The bait can be left in places favorable for habitat and movement of rodents in order to prevent their possible introduction during periods of increasing numbers. In this case, the bait is laid out in special containers (containers) and observations are carried out at least 2 times a month.
PRECAUTIONS
Precautions must comply with those set out in the document: Sanitary and Epidemiological Requirements for Deratization (SP 3.5.3.1129-02, Appendix 1). Persons who have undergone special instructions, at least 18 years of age and do not suffer from blood diseases are allowed to work.
Work with the agent (bottling the concentrate, preparation and packaging of poisoned baits) should be carried out in the open air or in premises designated for these purposes with effective (5-8 times) general ventilation, under traction or using personal protective equipment (PPE) of the respiratory system (anti-dust respirators Astra-2; F-62 Sh or any universal respirators of the RU-60 M or RPG-67 brand), as well as in overalls: a dressing gown or overalls made of dust-proof fabric, a hat, rubber gloves, dust goggles and safety footwear.
For the preparation of poisoned baits, it is prohibited to use uncrushed sunflower seeds and other products that look attractive to people.
During work, do not allow contact with skin and eyes. Strictly observe the rules of personal hygiene, do not smoke, do not eat. During a break and at the end of work, be sure to take off your overalls, wash your hands and face thoroughly with warm water and soap. After work take a warm shower.
