Brodefor 0.25% 1.1kg
This product requires special training when used.
DESCRIPTION
Rodenticidal agent Brodefor is a liquid propylene glycol concentrate in the form of a viscous transparent liquid of red color.
COMPOSITION
The product contains brodifacum - 0.25% as an active ingredient, a red dye and a food base. It also contains bitrex (a bitter component), which protects the bait from being eaten by birds, and reduces the risk of accidental poisoning of people and non-target species of animals.
RODENTICAL PROPERTIES
Food baits prepared on the basis of Brodefora, having a pink color and containing 0.005% brodifacum, have high rodenticidal activity against rats and mice. Eating a poisoned bait, rodents receive a lethal dose within one to two days. The clinic of poisoning is typical for anticoagulants: a decrease in blood clotting, leading to bleeding, and after 3-8 days - to the death of rodents.
Brodifacum belongs to the I class of extremely hazardous substances according to GOST 12.1.007-76. LD50 when injected into the stomach of rats is 0.42 - 0.56 mg / kg, mice - 0.4 mg / kg. When applied to the skin of rabbits, LD5o is 0.25-0.62 mg / kg, rats - 3.2-5.2 mg / kg. It has a pronounced cumulative effect (Kkum. Less than 1), after repeated application to the skin, it exhibits a skin-resorptive effect, local irritating properties are weak.
According to the parameters of acute toxicity when injected into the stomach of rats, Brodefor belongs to the III class of moderately hazardous, and when applied to the skin - to IV class of low hazard agents according to the Classification of toxicity and hazard of rodenticides.
Does not have an inhalation hazard in saturating concentrations of vapors according to the degree of volatility (IV hazard class). Has a pronounced cumulative effect: (Kkum. Less than 1). Does not have a local irritating effect on the skin and mucous membranes of the eyes; has a pronounced skin-resorptive effect when applied repeatedly to the skin.
SHOE of brodifacum in the air of the working area - 0.001 mg / m3 (aerosols) -I hazard class
PURPOSE
The Brodefor agent is intended for the preparation and use of poisoned baits for the destruction of rats (gray, black and water) and house mice at objects of various categories (food, children and medical in places inaccessible to children) by personnel of organizations authorized to engage in disinfection activities. Lures for gray and black rats, as well as for mice are used in non-residential dry and wet rooms, underground structures, basements, cellars, sewers, residential buildings and apartments. For the destruction of water rats - in built-up areas of settlements.
APPLICATION
Poisoned bait for fighting rodents (gray rats, black water rats and mice) is prepared by mixing Brodefor with benign food products (refined grain, cereals, granulated feed, etc.).
The composition of the food base is selected taking into account the nutritional characteristics of different types of rodents and the specifics of the food base at specific sites. Crushed grain or cereals are used in mouse baits.
To prepare a poisoned bait with a content of 0.005% brodifacoum (DV), you need to take 20 ml of Brodefor per 1 kg of food base. The required amount of concentrate is slowly added to the food base and thoroughly mixed until the color is evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
The location of the bait and its consumption depend on the habitat of the rodents and their number (Table).
Bait consumption depending on the number of rodents.
Type of animal Habitat and bait locations Layout rates, g / station, depending on the number

The bait is placed in places where traces of the vital activity of rodents (gnaws, droppings) are found: on the paths of movement, along walls, partitions, near holes. Lay out the bait in dry places under shelters (cabinets, equipment, etc.) in adapted containers (bait boxes, drainage pipes, trays, boxes, etc.) or in special containers. The latter is preferable because increase the eatability of the product, preventing it from being taken away by rodents, and also complicate access to the bait for non-target species of animals.
The bait is laid out in 50-100 g from rats or 10-25 g from mice.
The distance between the bait placement points is 2-15 m, depending on the clutter of the premises and the number of rodents. Lures from mice are served more often than from rats.
The laid out bait is inspected 1-2 days after the layout, and then at intervals of 1 week. The portions in which the bait is partially or completely eaten are replenished to the original volume or twice as much. Portions left untouched by rats or mice for more than a week are transferred to other places visited by rodents. Contaminated or spoiled bait is replaced with a new one. The work is carried out until the disappearance of rodents.
Due to the possibility of secondary poisoning, the corpses of rodents should be collected regularly (until the end of the work) for their subsequent burial or incineration.
At the end of the work, the remains of the bait and containers from under the baits are collected for reuse (if they are suitable for these purposes) or for subsequent burial.
The bait can be left in places favorable for habitat and movement of rodents in order to prevent their possible introduction and increase in numbers. In this case, the bait is laid out in special containers (containers) and observations are carried out at least 2 times a month.
PRECAUTIONS
Precautionary measures must comply with the requirements of SP 3..5.3.1129-02, Appendix 1. Persons who have undergone special instructions, at least 18 years of age and not suffering from blood diseases are allowed to work.
