DESCRIPTION
Boviret is an inactivated vaccine against pasteurellosis in cattle and buffaloes. In appearance, the vaccine is a light yellow liquid with an abundant loose sediment, which easily breaks up into a homogeneous suspension when shaken.
COMPOSITION
The vaccine is made from Pasteurella multocida strains No. 796, 116, 216, F, D, inactivated with formalin (at a concentration of up to 0.3%), with the addition of alumina hydrate based on phosphate buffer (at a concentration of 7.5%) as an adjuvant.
BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The vaccine induces the formation of an immune response in cattle and buffaloes to pasteurellosis 10-20 days after the second injection, lasting at least 8 months.
One immunizing dose of the vaccine (5 cm3) contains at least 5 billion microbial cells of each strain: P. multocida No. 796 .; P. multocida No. 116 P. multocida No. 216 P. multocida F. P. multocida D.
The vaccine is harmless and has no medicinal properties.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The vaccine is intended for the prevention of pasteurellosis in cattle and buffaloes.
Immunization is subject to the livestock of cattle and buffaloes aged one month and older.
Pregnant animals are vaccinated regardless of the gestational age. Newly introduced animals, as well as growing young animals that have reached one month of age, are vaccinated.
Animals are vaccinated twice with an interval of 12-15 days intramuscularly, in the area of ​​the croup, in doses of 5 cm3 and 1 O cm3, respectively. After 6 months, all vaccinated animals are subject to a single revaccination at a dose of 1 O cm3.
Before use, the vials with the vaccine are thoroughly shaken and heated in a water bath to a temperature of 36-37 В° C. During vaccination, the rules of asepsis and antisepsis are observed. Sterile syringes and needles are used, the injection site is disinfected with 70 В° alcohol or other disinfectant solution.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Symptoms of pasteurellosis or other pathological signs in case of an overdose of the vaccine have not been established.
The features of the post-vaccination reaction have not been established.
Violations of the vaccination schedule should be avoided, as this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of immunoprophylaxis of pasteurellosis. If the next vaccine injection is missed, it is necessary to immunize as soon as possible.
It is prohibited to use the vaccine simultaneously with other immunobiological preparations.
Milk and slaughter products from vaccinated animals are used without restrictions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is forbidden to vaccinate animals with an elevated body temperature, weakened, emaciated and sick.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using the vaccine in accordance with this instruction, side effects and complications, as a rule, are not noted. In vaccinated animals, a slight swelling may appear at the site of vaccine administration after 12-24 hours, which disappears after a few days.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the vaccine is 18 months from the date of issue, subject to the storage and transportation conditions. After the expiration date, the vaccine is not suitable for use. The vaccine is stored. and transported in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 2 В° C to 8 В° C.
PACKAGING
The vaccine is packaged in 100 (20 doses) ml in vials of appropriate capacity, sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps. Vaccine vials are packed in boxes. Each vaccine box is supplied with instructions for use.
