Bovie Shield Gold FP5 L5 vaccine for cattle, vial of 10 doses
DESCRIPTION
Bovi-shield Gold FP5 L5 (Bovi-s11ield Gold) is a vaccine for the prevention of infectious rhinotracheitis, viral diarrhea, parainfluenza-3, respiratory syncytial infection and leptospirosis in cattle. Lyophilized mass of white or pale yellow color, homogeneous, porous.
COMPOSITION
The lyophilized component of the vaccine (Bovi-shield Gold FP 5) is made from the culture fluid of transplantable cell lines infected with attenuated viruses of infectious rhinotracheitis pathogens, viral diarrhea types 1 and 2, parainfluenza-3, respiratory syncytial infection with the addition of gentamicin as a preservative (30 Ојg / ml) and merthiolate (no more than 0.01%).
The liquid component of the vaccine (Leptoferm 5 + A) is made from leptospira serogroups inactivated by 0.03% solution of merthiolate: Canicola, Grippotyphosa, Hardjo, Icterohaemorrhagiae and Pomona with the addition of preservatives: gentamicin (no more than 30 Ојg / ml) and merthiolate (no more than 0 01%).
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
The vaccine induces the formation of an immune response in cattle to the causative agents of infectious rhinotracheitis, viral diarrhea, parainfluenza-3, respiratory syncytial infection and leptospirosis caused by L. Canicola, L. Grippotyphosa, L. Hardjo, L. Icterohaemorrhagiae and L. Pomona, through 3 weeks after double vaccination, lasting at least 12 months.
One immunizing dose of the vaccine contains attenuated strains of pathogens: infectious rhinotracheitis (C-13 strain) at least 104.4 TCD50, parainfluenza-3 (Reisinger strain) at least 104.6 TCD50, type 1 viral diarrhea (NADL strain) at least 103.9 TCD50, viral diarrhea type 2 (strain 53637) not less than 104.4 TCID50 and respiratory syncytial infection (strain BRSV / 375) not less than 104.1 TCID50 and inactivated leptospira serogroups: Canicola, Grippotyphosa, Hardjo, Icterohaemorrhagiae and Pomona.
The vaccine is harmless and has no medicinal properties.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The vaccine is intended for the prevention of rhinotracheitis, viral diarrhea (types 1 and 2) (birth of calves constantly infected with the bovine diarrhea virus, infection of the testes with bovine diarrhea virus type 2) parainfluenza-3, respiratory syncytial infection and leptospirosis in cattle.
Healthy animals are subject to vaccination from the first weeks of life.
Before vaccination, the contents of the vial with the liquid component are transferred to the lyophilized vial, observing the rules of asepsis, and shaken until completely dissolved.
The vaccine is administered in compliance with the rules of asepsis and antiseptics; sterile materials and instruments are used for administration. A separate needle is used for each animal. The injection site is treated with 70 В° alcohol.
Primary vaccination
Animals are immunized twice with an interval of 3 weeks. When vaccinating young animals under 3 months of age, colostral antibodies present in the blood can reduce the effectiveness of the vaccination. The vaccination schedule should be adjusted according to the colostral antibody titer. It is recommended to start the vaccination as soon as the level of colostral antibodies drops below neutralizing (neutralization index <3 lg).
Revaccination
Animals are revaccinated annually, once, with one dose of the vaccine.
Prevention of abortion
For the prevention of abortions in cows and heifers caused by the virus of infectious rhinotracheitis, viral diarrhea and protection of fetuses from viral diarrhea, the vaccine is administered once no later than 1 month before insemination. The vaccine is injected intramuscularly into the neck in a volume of 2 cm3 (1 dose).
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Slaughter products from vaccinated animals are sold for food purposes not earlier than 21 days after the vaccine administration, milk is used without restrictions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is forbidden to vaccinate clinically sick and / or weakened animals; suckling calves from unvaccinated cows (for beef cattle); animals during pregnancy, if they have not been immunized with Bowie-Shield Gold FP5 L5 vaccine within the last 12 months (this can lead to abortion).
SIDE EFFECTS
The vaccine may cause anaphylaxis or mild swelling at the injection site in some animals. When anaphylaxis occurs, the animals are injected with epinephrine or antihistamines at the recommended doses. The swelling disappears within a few days without treatment.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the vaccine is 18 months from the date of issue, subject to storage and transportation conditions. After the expiration date, the vaccine is not suitable for use.
The vaccine is stored and transported in a dry dark place at a temperature of 2 В° C to 7 В° C.
The vaccine should be kept out of the reach of children.
