Assign for skin diseases (weeping eczema, dermatitis, pyoderma, diaper rash) 3% aqueous solution for lotions.
Dissolve 2 g of powder in 65-70 ml of hot boiled water (dissolve 1/2 teaspoon of powder in 80-90 ml of hot boiled water), cool the solution to room temperature and use for lotions.
1 sachet of powder for external use contains:
active substance: boric acid 10 g
Hypersensitivity, chronic renal failure, acute inflammatory skin diseases;
pregnancy, children's age (up to 3 years), lactation period.
pharmachologic effect
Boric acid is an antiseptic, it also has an insecticidal (including anti-pediculosis) effect. Coagulates proteins (including enzymatic) of the microbial cell, violates the permeability of the cell membrane. 5% aqueous solution inhibits phagocytosis processes, 2 4% solution inhibits the growth and development of bacteria. Has an irritating effect on mucous membranes, granulation tissue. When absorbed, it has systemic toxic effects.
Pharmacokinetics
Penetrates well through the skin and mucous membranes; is slowly excreted and can accumulate in organs and tissues. Excreted by the kidneys In 50% (within 12 hours), the remainder within 5-7 days.
Side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin rash, epithelial desquamation, headache, confusion, convulsions, impaired renal function.
