Description
A universal remedy for the protection of fruit, berry, vegetable, melons, ornamental crops, grapes and conifers from a complex of fungal and bacterial diseases. It is used in the form of a 3% Bordeaux liquid for early spring '' blue '' spraying of trees and shrubs, a 1% solution for spraying all crops during the growing season.
Preparation
Bordeaux mixture is used to prepare 1% and 3% bordeaux liquid solution. To obtain 10 liters of 1% Bordeaux liquid, pour 1 liter of warm water into a plastic or glass dish, dissolve 100 g of copper sulphate in it and add 8 liters of cold water. In another container and a small amount of water, dilute 100 g of slaked lime and bring the volume of the milk of lime obtained to 1 liter. In a solution of copper sulfate in a thin stream, stirring constantly, pour 1 liter of milk of lime. The finished solution should be sky blue with a slightly alkaline reaction. In order to avoid burning the leaves, be sure to check the acidity of the solution using indicator paper. When immersed in a solution, the paper should turn light green. If this does not happen, it is necessary to gradually add milk of lime to the solution, controlling acidity. You can also check the acidity of the Bordeaux liquid with an iron nail. If a copper deposit appears on a nail placed in the solution, milk of lime should be added. Application
Carry out work in protective clothing, rubber gloves, glasses, cotton-gauze bandage. Do not smoke or eat during work. After work, wash your face and hands with soap and water, rinse your mouth. In case of accidental ingestion, drink 6-10 glasses of water.
