DESCRIPTION

Aerosol Bolfo (Bolfo Spray) - insectoacaricidal drug for the fight against ectoparasites in dogs and cats. Dosage form: solution for external use in aerosol can. In appearance, it is a clear liquid from yellow to light brown.

COMPOSITION

The product contains (in 100 g): propoxur (0.25 g) and auxiliary substances: aromatic additive - 0.1 g, dehydrated citric acid - 0.0035 g, isopropanol - 34.6465 g, compressed propane gases - 9.75 g and butane - 55.25 g.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Aerosol Bolfo belongs to insectoacaricidal drugs.

Propoxur (2-isopropoxyenyl-methylcarbamate), which is part of the drug, gets on the skin and hair of an animal and has a long-term insectoacaricidal effect on insects and ixodid ticks parasitizing dogs and cats.

Propoxur is an active inhibitor of the esterase systems of the body of arthropods, stimulates glycolysis and inhibits oxidative phosphorylation, which leads to disruption of biochemical processes, paralysis and death of ectoparasites.

Aerosol Bolfo, according to the degree of impact on the body, belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76), in recommended doses it does not have a local irritating and resorptive-toxic effect, when it gets on the mucous membranes it causes slight irritation. Toxic to fish and other aquatic organisms.

INDICATIONS

Aerosol Bolfo is used to treat dogs and cats with entomosis and ixodid ticks.

APPLICATION

Before use, shake the bottle with the preparation and, pressing the spray head for several seconds, spray the aerosol from a distance of 30-40 cm on the animal's body against hair growth, slightly moistening the coat. Covering the eyes of the animal, the ears and chest are treated, then the neck, trunk, limbs and tail are sprayed.

The processing of animals is carried out in the open air or in well-ventilated rooms with open windows (vents), away from open fire and heating devices, after removing the cages with decorative birds from the room and covering the aquariums with fish.

To prevent licking of the drug, the animal is put on a muzzle or a neck collar, which is removed after the skin and hair is completely dry.

In order to prevent the emergence of fleas and re-infestation of the animal, bedding, blankets and other care items are treated with an aerosol at the rate of four short-term presses on the spray head 1m? the surface to be treated and after 1-2 hours clean it with a vacuum cleaner.

Repeated processing of animals is carried out according to indications, but not more often than 1 time per week.

In case of non-observance of the established period of repeated treatments, the use of the drug should be resumed in the same dosage and according to the same scheme.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Patients with infectious diseases and recovering animals, as well as puppies and kittens up to 3 months old, should not be treated with Bolfo Aerosol. age. Application to pregnant and lactating animals is possible after consultation with a veterinarian.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

A contraindication to use is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug.

Aerosol Bolfo is not intended for use in productive animals. Do not use Aerosol Bolfo at the same time as other insectoacaricidal drugs for treating animals.

OVERDOSE

In case of an overdose of the drug, some dogs may experience increased salivation, constriction of the pupils, vomiting, and diarrhea. In this case, the animal is prescribed antihistamines and symptomatic therapy.

SIDE EFFECTS

As a rule, side effects and complications when using the drug in accordance with this instruction are not observed. In rare cases, with increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the drug (excessive salivation, lacrimation) or signs of skin irritation, the drug should be washed off with soap and water, and if necessary, consult a veterinarian.

PRECAUTIONS

When working with Aerosol Bolfo, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety measures provided for working with medicines, use rubber gloves and a respirator (gauze bandage). While working with the drug, it is not allowed to smoke, drink or eat. At the end of work, you should thoroughly wash your hands with warm water and soap, wash and dry your gloves. Do not iron or allow the animal to be in small children within 24 hours after processing. People with hypersensitivity to the drug components should avoid direct contact with Bolfo Aerosol.

FIRST AID MEASURES

In case of accidental contact of the drug with the skin or mucous membranes of the eyes, they must be rinsed with plenty of water. In case of allergic reactions or in case of accidental ingestion of the drug into the human body, you should immediately contact a medical institution (you should have instructions for using the drug or a label with you).

STORAGE

Store the drug in a closed manufacturer's container, in a dry place protected from direct sunlight, separate from food and feed, away from heating appliances and open fire, at temperatures from + 0 В° C to + 30 В° C. The shelf life, subject to storage conditions, is 60 months from the date of production.
