DESCRIPTION

Boflox is an antibacterial drug for cattle and pigs.

COMPOSITION

Marbofloxacin - 100ml. Solvent up to 1 ml.

INDICATIONS

Treatment of cattle with respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms (Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica and Histophilus somni), as well as patients with acute mastitis caused by E. coli, sensitive to marbofloxacin.

Treatment of pigs suffering from metritis-mastitis-agalactia syndrome, as well as in respiratory diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to marbofloxacin.

APPLICATION

Cattle: in the treatment of respiratory infections caused by susceptible strains of Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica and Histophilus somni, intramuscularly in a dose of 8 mg of marbofloxacin per 1 kg of body weight (2 ml of the drug per 25 kg of body weight) once.

In the treatment of acute mastitis caused by strains of E. Coli intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a dose of 2 mg of marbofloxacin per 1 kg of body weight, which is equivalent to 1 ml of the drug per 50 kg of body weight once a day. The course of treatment is 3 days. The first injection can also be given intravenously. If the dose volume exceeds 20 ml, it must be divided and injected into two or more sections.

Pigs intramuscularly at a dose of 2 mg of marbofloxacin per 1 kg of body weight or 1 ml of the drug per 50 kg of body weight once a day. The course of treatment is 3 days.

In cattle and pigs, the drug should be injected into the neck area. To correctly determine the dose, it is necessary to accurately measure the body weight (as much as possible) in order to avoid the introduction of an insufficient dose. The bottle cap can be pierced safely 30 times.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use Boflox in animals with known hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones or other components of the drug. Do not use if the specific pathogen is resistant to other fluoroquinolones (cross-resistance).

STORAGE

Store in a dark, dry place, out of reach of children, at temperatures from + 5 В° C to + 25 В° C. Shelf life under storage conditions is 3 years. After opening the bottle, the drug must be used within 28 days, provided it is stored in a dark place at a temperature of + 2 В° C to 8 В° C.
