The color of the buds is brown, sometimes greenish at the base.

The smell is balsamic, pleasant.

The taste of the aqueous extract is slightly astringent, resinous.

Infusion and decoction of Birch buds have diuretic, antiseptic, choleretic properties.

Indications

Birch buds have long been used in folk medicine, birch buds are used as a disinfectant and expectorant for bronchitis and tracheitis, as a diuretic for the treatment of cardiac edema.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug

chronic renal failure, acute glomerulonephritis, pregnancy, breastfeeding, children under 12 years of age.

Method of administration and dosage

About 10 g (1 tablespoon) of the kidneys are placed in an enamel bowl, 200 ml (1 glass) of hot boiled water is poured, covered with a lid and heated in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes, cooled at room temperature for 45 minutes, filtered, the remaining raw materials are wrung out.

The volume of the resulting infusion is brought up to 200 ml with boiled water.

Is taken orally 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals.

It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.

Side effects

Allergic reactions are possible.

With prolonged use of the drug, there may be an exacerbation of inflammatory kidney diseases as a result of irritation of the renal parenchyma.

Overdose

When using the drug in doses exceeding the recommended ones, it is possible to increase the dose-dependent side effects.

The medicinal properties of birch buds have long been known to folk medicine, most often they are used:
