Biotredin sublingual tablets, No. 30

Prescribed to children, adolescents and adults with a decrease in mental performance and concentration.

The drug is prescribed to persons who abuse alcohol, patients with chronic alcoholism with the actualization of a pathological craving for alcohol, combined with affective (irritability, low mood, internal discomfort), sensory (hunger) and ideatorial (thoughts about alcohol) disorders, with alcohol withdrawal syndrome, and also to maintain remission.

The drug is prescribed in tablets under the tongue or as a powder after crushing the tablet; as a means of increasing attention, mental performance: for children, adolescents and adults, 1 tablet 2-3 times a day for 3-10 days. If necessary, the course is repeated 3-4 times or more per year.
Patients with chronic alcoholism and alcohol abuse are prescribed 1-3 tablets 2-3 times a day for 4-5 days. If necessary, courses are repeated 5-10 times a year.
In the treatment of alcohol withdrawal symptoms, on the first day, 1-4 tablets are prescribed 3-4 times a day (daily dose of 3-16 tablets), on the second day and then 1-2 tablets per dose 2-3 times a day (daily dose 3 -6 tablets) within 21-28 days.
The duration of the course can be shortened to 10-14 days.
The greatest effect of BiotredinЃ is achieved when it is combined with Glycine (100 mg tablet). Glycine is taken under the tongue 10-15 minutes before taking BiotredinЃ.
During the period of remission, to reveal the latent craving for alcohol, take 2-3 tablets of BiotredinЃ on an empty stomach. The appearance within 10-20 minutes of light dizziness, a calming effect, facial redness, sweating indicates the presence of 'hidden craving'. In these cases, a 5-10 day course of BiotredinЃ is recommended, 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day together with Glycine 100 mg under the tongue 10-15 minutes before taking BiotredinЃ.

Pharmacological properties:

BiotredinЃ is a regulator of tissue metabolism, increases mental performance, has a therapeutic effect in case of alcohol withdrawal symptoms, reduces craving for alcohol.
L-threonine in the presence of pyridoxine (vitamin B6) breaks down into the amino acid glycine and acetaldehyde, which stimulate inhibition processes and at the same time redox reactions, respiration and synthesis of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in cells, due to which the drug is able to:
Х reduce psycho-emotional stress;
Х improve short-term and long-term memory;
Х improve mental performance;
Х increase and normalize the level of endogenous acetaldehyde content and, thereby, reduce the phenomenon of alcohol withdrawal syndrome and craving for alcohol.
The action of Biotredin appears 10-20 minutes after sublingual administration.

Pharmacokinetics . L-threonine and pyridoxine are completely metabolized to final products. Their cumulation in the body does not occur.

Side effect.

Dizziness, increased sweating, allergic reactions with vitamin B6 intolerance.

Overdose.

No cases of overdose have been identified.

Interaction with other medicinal products.

Incompatible with antipsychotic drugs, antidepressants, anxiolytics, barbiturates. Weakens the effect of antipsychotics (neuroleptics), antidepressants, barbiturates and other drugs that depress the central nervous system.

Special instructions.

It is not recommended to use it during the period of intoxication (since the therapeutic effect of the drug decreases).

Sublingual tablets 5 mg + 100 mg.
30 tablets in a blister strip in a cardboard box together with instructions for medical use.

Storage conditions.
