Bioprost suppositories, No. 10

• chronic bacterial and abacterial prostatitis;

• benign prostatic hyperplasia (symptomatic therapy).

Suppositories are injected into the rectum in 1 suppository. 1-2 times / day for 14 days. If necessary, repeated courses of therapy can be prescribed.

Rectal suppositories are greenish, torpedo-shaped, waxy, fragile to break, with a specific smell of thymol.

Combined drug. It has anti-inflammatory, bacteriostatic and analgesic effects. It has a positive effect on the course of the pathological process in benign prostatic hyperplasia. Reduces pain in the prostate area and improves urination.

Pumpkin seed oil contains a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids, antioxidants and trace elements.

Thymol has a pronounced antibacterial effect on microorganisms, is highly active against the coccal flora.

The rectal route of administration of the drug in chronic prostatitis is preferable, given that the active substances enter the bloodstream, bypassing the liver. Thus, a rapid onset of the therapeutic effect is ensured and the possibility of inactivation of the drug in the digestive tract and liver is excluded, which leads to the creation of a therapeutic concentration of active substances in the secretion and tissue of the prostate. Against the background of the use of the drug, the inflammatory reaction on the part of the prostate tissue decreases.

Pharmacokinetics

Bioprost belongs to the group of multicomponent herbal preparations, for which pharmacokinetic studies are not carried out.

Overdose

To date, no cases of overdose of the drug Bioprost have been observed.

Drug interactions

There were no cases of increase or decrease in the pharmacological action of drugs with simultaneous use with the drug Bioprost.
