Pharmacological action
Alflutop regulates the metabolism in cartilage. The composition of the extract of marine fish includes glycosaminoglycans: hyaluronic acid, chondroitin-6-sulfate, chondroitin-4-sulfate, dermatan sulfate, keratan sulfate amino acids polypeptides (with a molecular weight of 50,000 daltons) macro- and microelements: sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium , iron, zinc, copper.
Alflutop has a chondroprotective effect based on the inhibition of the activity of hyaluronidase and other enzymes, which are involved in the destruction of the intercellular matrix and the normalization of the biosynthesis of hyaluronic acid and type II collagen. These effects are synergistic and cause activation of the processes of restoration of the cartilage structure and prevent the destruction of the macromolecular structures of normal cartilage tissues.
Alflutop, restoring joint homeostasis, inhibits the biosynthesis of inflammatory mediators, including pro-inflammatory cytokines. As a result, it has a pronounced anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, which manifests itself on the 8-10th day of treatment.
Proteoglycans, which are part of the preparation, have a trophic effect and have a substitute effect, significantly increasing the MRI indices of hydrophilicity, cartilage height and bone uniformity.
With gastrointestinal diseases, Alflutop has a gastroprotective effect. The drug restores the synthesis of prostaglandins, reduces the time of epithelialization of ulcerative and erosive defects in NSAIDs-gastropathies with antiulcer therapy. It can serve as a drug of choice in patients with advanced NSAID gastropathy if it is necessary to continue analgesic and anti-inflammatory therapy.
Indications
- primary and secondary osteoarthrosis of various localization (including coxarthrosis, gonarthrosis, arthrosis of small joints)
- spondylosis
- osteochondrosis
- periarthritis
- degenerative-dystrophic lesions of the joints against the background of metabolic osteopathies
- recovery period after surgical interventions on the joints
- fibromyalgia srdlk.
Contraindications
- pregnancy
- lactation (breastfeeding).
It is not recommended to prescribe the drug in childhood and adolescence due to the lack of clinical data confirming the safety and effectiveness of its use in this age group.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy and lactation.
Special instructions
There is evidence of the effectiveness of the IM paravertebral administration of Alflutop in the complex treatment of patients with spinal osteochondrosis with radicular and non-radicular pain syndromes, both during exacerbation and in partial or complete remission.
Use in pediatrics
It is not recommended to prescribe the drug in childhood and adolescence due to the lack of clinical data confirming the safety and effectiveness of its use in this age group.
Composition
1 ml of solution contains a standardized, fat-free and deproteinized extract of 4 species of marine fish 10 mg (active substance),
excipients:
phenol,
water for injection.
Dosage and administration of
The drug is prescribed for adults.
In case of polyosteoarthrosis and osteochondrosis, Alflutop is administered deeply intramuscularly at 10 mg (1 ml) per day. The course of treatment is 20 injections.
With a primary lesion of large joints, the drug is injected into the joint 10-20 mg (1-2 ml) with an interval between injections of 3-4 days. The course of treatment is 5-6 injections in each joint.
More effective combined use of IM and intra-articular injections.
If necessary, the course of treatment should be carried out after 3 months, subsequent after 6 months.
Side effects
Rarely: itchy dermatitis, redness of the skin, burning sensation at the injection site, short-term myalgia.
In some cases: a transient increase in pain (with intra-articular administration due to activation of metabolism and intensification of blood circulation).
Drug interaction
To date, drug interaction of the drug Alflutop has not been established.
Overdose
Symptoms: All patients may have allergic reactions, sometimes severe, in predisposed patients.
Treatment: withdrawal of the drug, carrying out symptomatic therapy.
Storage Conditions
The product should be stored in a cool, dark place at 15 РC to 25 РC.
