Use during pregnancy and lactation
It is possible if the expected effect of therapy outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
During pregnancy, the use of Belogent should not be prolonged and, if possible, be limited to small areas of the skin.
During breastfeeding - only according to strict indications, but Belogent should not be applied to the mammary gland before feeding.
Special instructions
Belogent is for external use only.
Long-term use of the drug on the skin of the face is not recommended. possible development of rosacea, perioral dermatitis and acne.
Belogent should not be used in the eye area, due to the likelihood of the drug getting on the mucous membrane, which can contribute to the development of cataracts, glaucoma, fungal infections of the eyes and exacerbation of herpes infection.
Some parts of the body (axillary cavities, inguinal folds) where there is natural occlusion are more at risk of striae, so the use of the drug in these areas should be short-lived.
In case of development of a fungal infection on the skin, additional use of an antifungal agent is necessary.
With prolonged continuous use of the drug, especially in children, on large surfaces of the skin, applied to skin with impaired integrity or when used under an occlusive dressing, systemic side effects may develop, but this is extremely unlikely.
Use in pediatrics. It can be used in children with caution and for a short time. The duration of treatment should be as short as possible. Do not use the drug for children under dressings and especially under plasticized diapers, as this enhances the absorption of the drug and increases the risk of side effects.
