Pharmacological action of
corticosteroids for external use.
It has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antiallergic, vasoconstrictive, antiexudative and antiproliferative effects.
When applied to the skin surface, the drug has a quick and powerful effect in the focus of inflammation, reducing the severity of objective symptoms (erythema, edema, lichenification) and subjective sensations (itching, irritation, pain).
Indications
Conditions in which therapy with topical corticosteroids is effective, including:
Atopic dermatitis.
Neurodermatitis.
Allergic contact dermatitis.
Eczema (various forms).
Contact dermatitis (including professional).
Non-allergic dermatitis (including solar and radiation dermatitis).
Reactions to insect bites.
Psoriasis.
Bullous dermatoses.
Discoid lupus erythematosus.
lichen planus.
Exudative erythema multiforme.
Itchy skin of various etiologies.
Contraindications
Tuberculosis of the skin.
Cutaneous manifestations of syphilis.
Chicken pox.
Viral, bacterial and fungal infections of the skin.
Dermal post-vaccination reactions.
Open wounds.
Trophic ulcers.
rosacea.
Acne vulgaris.
Tumors of the skin and subcutaneous structures.
Children under 6 months.
Hypersensitivity to betamethasone or to any of the auxiliary components of the drug.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The use of Beloderm in pregnant women is allowed in cases where the intended benefits to the mother outweigh the risk to the fetus. In such cases, the use of the drug should be short-lived and limited to small areas of the skin.
During breastfeeding, the use of the drug is possible according to strict indications, but the drug should not be applied to the skin of the mammary gland before feeding.
Special instructions
Long-term use of the drug on the skin of the face is not recommended, because possible development of rosacea, perioral dermatitis and acne.
The drug should not be used in the eye area, due to the likelihood of the drug getting on the mucous membrane, which can contribute to the development of cataracts, glaucoma, fungal infections of the eye and exacerbation of herpes infection.
Some parts of the body, such as axillary cavities, inguinal folds where there is natural occlusion, are more at risk of striae, so the use of the drug in these areas of the skin should be short-lived.
With the development of a fungal or bacterial infection on the skin, additional use of an antibacterial or antifungal agent is necessary.
Use in pediatrics
The drug can be prescribed to children from 6 months with caution and for the shortest possible time. The drug should not be used under dressings, and especially under plasticized diapers, as this enhances the absorption of the drug and increases the risk of side effects.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and control mechanisms
Data on the adverse effects of Beloderm on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms are not available.

Dosage and administration
The drug is intended for external use only.
Cream or ointment for external use is applied to the affected area of the skin with a thin layer 2 times / day, gently rubbing. On areas with denser skin (for example, elbows, palms and feet), as well as places from which the drug is easily washed, the drug can be applied more often. The duration of continuous treatment is usually not more than 4 weeks.
To prevent relapse in the treatment of chronic diseases, therapy should be continued for some time after the disappearance of all symptoms.
Repeated courses of therapy are possible throughout the year.
Cream for external use is used for the treatment of acute, including weeping skin lesions.
Ointment for external use is intended for the treatment of subacute and chronic dermatoses, including dry, lichenized and flaky lesions, or in those cases when the occlusive effect of the ointment is necessary.
Side effects
Side effects are usually mild.
Dermatological reactions: rarely - hypersensitivity reactions (itching, burning, hyperemia), acne-like changes, hypopigmentation, striae, skin atrophy, hypertrichosis, telangiectasia, secondary skin infections.
If a hypersensitivity reaction or adverse reactions develops, the drug should be discontinued.
Drug Interactions
The interaction of the drug Beloderm with other drugs is unknown.
overdose
Symptoms: prolonged continuous use of the drug, especially in children, on extensive skin surfaces, when applied to skin with impaired integrity, or when used under occlusive dressing, may develop side effects associated with suppression.
Treatment: It is recommended to discontinue the drug and prescribe symptomatic therapy if necessary.
Storage conditions
