Description
White resorbable tablets with a yellowish tint, round, biconvex, with the Zyma logo (two triangles located opposite each other with some offset) on one side and the OR code on the back, with an orange smell.

Release form
8 tablets are packaged in a blister of the combined material PVC / PE / PVDC / aluminum foil.
Two blisters are placed together with instructions for use in a pack of cardboard.
Pharmacological action
Antiseptic drug for local use in ENT practice.
It is a quaternary ammonium salt: N-benzyl N-dodecyl N, N-di (2-hydroxyethyl) ammonium chloride.
Due to its cationic structure, it has membrane-active activity and has a pronounced antibacterial effect on gram-positive and, to a lesser extent, gram-negative microorganisms.
Benzoxonium also has antifungal and antiviral activity against membrane viruses (including influenza, parainfluenza and herpes viruses).
Lidocaine is a local anesthetic that, with inflammatory processes, reduces pain in the throat when swallowed.
Indications
Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx:
pharyngitis
laryngitis
catarrhal sore throat
stomatitis
ulcerative gingivitis
chronic tonsillitis (as an adjuvant).
Contraindications
Pregnancy lactation (breastfeeding) children under 4 years of age hypersensitivity to the drug components hypersensitivity to ammonia compounds.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The drug is contraindicated for use in the first trimester of pregnancy and during lactation (breastfeeding).
Adequate and strictly controlled clinical studies of the safety of the drug during pregnancy have not been conducted. The use of the drug in the II and III trimesters is not recommended.
There are no clinical data on the excretion of active substances in breast milk. However, the drug is not recommended for use during breastfeeding.
In experimental studies, no effect of the drug on reproductive function and fetal development was found.
Special instructions
Alcohol should be avoided during use.
Composition
1 tab.
benzoxonium chloride 1 mg
lidocaine hydrochloride 1 mg
Excipients:
sorbitol - 1 g (corresponding to approximately 17 kJ / 4 kcal),
microcrystalline cellulose - 20 mg,
macrogol 6000 - 25 mg,
corn starch - 55 mg,
sodium saccharin - 4 mg,
sodium chloride - 10 mg,
citric acid - 5 mg,
magnesium stearate - 1 mg,
orange flavor - 40 mg.
Dosage and Administration
Inside. Single dose - 1 tablet every 2-3 hours.
For severe symptoms of the disease, 1 tablet every 1-2 hours. The tablet should slowly dissolve in the mouth.
The daily dose should not exceed 10 tablets.
Children: TeraFlu® LAR can be used in children from 4 years old, 1 tablet every 2-3 hours.
The daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets.
Side effects
Possible: Local irritation when used for more than 2 weeks - Reversible brown staining of tongue and teeth.
Rare: Allergic reactions.
Drug Interaction
The effectiveness of benzoxonium chloride decreases with the use of anionic agents such as toothpaste.
Ethanol increases the absorption of benzoxonium chloride.
Overdose of
Symptoms: nausea and vomiting are possible with accidental ingestion in high doses.
The lidocaine content of the drug is negligible and cannot cause serious symptoms of an overdose.
Treatment: it is recommended to drink milk or eat egg whipped in water.
Storage conditions
The product should be stored out of the reach of children, in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30 РC.
