DOSAGE AND METHOD OF APPLICATION
Beet molasses is used as a basis in feed and compound feed for cattle, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, as well as for the preparation of fish feed.
The cocktail should be introduced into the diet of animals gradually, starting with 1/3 of the daily dose and bringing it to the full norm within 3-5 days. To do this, dilute 1 liter of warm beet molasses in 6 liters of warm water. Flavor the resulting ready-made mixture or add to the swill for animals in accordance with the daily dosage (indicated in the table below).
The daily rate of input of the ready-mixed mixture, l / per head:
Kind of animal Daily input rate l / per head
cash cows 5 - 7
calves from 1 to 6 months 0.5 - 1
calves 7 to 12 months old 12
calves aged 13 to 18 months 2 - 3
horses 2 - 2.5
lactating goats and sheep 1.5 - 2
piglets aged 2 to 4 months 0.03 - 0.05
pigs adults 0.2 - 0.3
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Molasses should not exceed more than 20% of the total diet on dry matter. At high molasses feeding rates, an additional source of coarse fibers such as straw or hay may be required. Do not add molasses to calf milk, as milk does not go into the rumen and the calf is unable to digest the molasses. Calves can digest molasses when added to the 'roughage' feed, only then does the rumen begin to function. It is not allowed to give cows molasses in unlimited quantities, as it is a highly fermented product, which can lead to the development of acidosis in cows.
