DESCRIPTION
Baymek is a protivositor drug for cattle, pigs and sheep. Produced in the form of a 1% solution for injection, which is a sterile, transparent, viscous, colorless or yellowish liquid.
COMPOSITION
1 ml of baimek contains 10 mg of ivermectin as an active ingredient, obtained by fermentation of the fungus Streptomyces avermitilis, and auxiliary components glycerol formal and propylene glycol.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Baymek has a wide spectrum of antiparasitic action, has a detrimental effect on nematodes, lice, bloodsuckers, causative agents of sarcoptoidosis, gadfly larvae and other arthropods. Ivermectin, which is part of the drug, enhancing the production of the inhibitory neurotransmitter - gamma-aminobutyric acid, disrupts the transmission of nerve impulses in parasites, which leads to their paralysis and death. After subcutaneous administration, the drug is rapidly absorbed from the injection site, distributed in the organs and tissues of the animal, providing a long-term antiparasitic effect. According to the degree of impact on the body of warm-blooded animals, baimek belongs to moderately hazardous substances, the active substance - ivermectin - to extremely hazardous substances. In recommended doses, the drug has no mutagenic, embryotoxic and teratogenic effects.
