DESCRIPTION

Advocate is a combined antiparasitic drug for cats up to 4kg.

COMPOSITION

The active ingredients are imidacloprid and moxidectin.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Imidacloprid interacts with the acetylcholine receptors of arthropods and disrupts the transmission of nerve impulses, causing the death of insects. Moxidectin binds to postsynaptic receptors, causes disruption of muscle innervation, paralysis and death of ectoparasites and nematodes.

After applying the drug to the skin, imidacloprid is quickly distributed over the surface of the body and, holding on to the epidermis and wool, has a long (up to 4 weeks) insectoacaricidal effect. Moxidectin is well absorbed, enters the systemic circulation, organs and tissues, providing a nematodicidal effect.

INDICATIONS

A lawyer is prescribed to cats for the treatment and prevention of otodectosis (Otodectes cynotis), entomosis (Ctenocephalides felis), intestinal nematodes (larval (stage L4), immature and sexually mature phases of development of Toxocara cati and Ancylostoma tubaeforme), as well as for the prevention of larval forms immitis (stages L3 and L4)).

APPLICATION

The lawyer can be used in cats from 9 weeks of age. Treatment of cats weighing less than 1 kg, pregnant and lactating cats should be carried out with caution under the supervision of a veterinarian. The lawyer is applied to dry, intact skin in places inaccessible for licking, directly to the skin between the shoulder blades at the base of the neck.

To destroy fleas, lice and lice, animals are treated once.

In a comprehensive program for the prevention and treatment of allergic dermatitis caused by fleas, Advocate is used once a month.

For the treatment of otodectosis (ear scabies), the drug is used once. Do not inject directly into the ear canal. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated after 1 month.

For deworming animals with nematodes, the drug is used once. In order to prevent dirofilariasis, the drug is used before the start of flight of mosquitoes (carriers of the pathogen D. Immitis) once, then once a month and the last time in the season 1 month after the end of the flight of insects. The lawyer does not destroy sexually mature dirofilariae, but reduces the number of microfilariae circulating in the blood.

SIDE EFFECTS

STORAGE

The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions, is 3 years from the date of manufacture.
