DESCRIPTION

Aversect-2 (Aversect-2) is an antiparasitic drug in the form of a solution for injection, intended for the treatment and prevention of arachno-entomoses and nematodes in cattle and small ruminants, deer, moose, camels and pigs.

In appearance, the drug is a clear, light yellow liquid.

COMPOSITION

Contains 1% aversectin C as an active ingredient, low molecular weight polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyethylene oxide 400, ethyl alcohol and water for injection as auxiliary components.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Aversect-2 has a wide spectrum of nematodicidal, insecticidal and acaricidal action; active against the larvae of subcutaneous, nasopharyngeal and gastric gadflies, insects, nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs and sarcoptoid ticks parasitizing animals.

The mechanism of action of aversectin C, which is part of the drug, is its effect on the magnitude of the current of chlorine ions through the membranes of the nerve and muscle cells of the parasite. The main targets are glutamate-sensitive chlorine channels and gamma-aminobutyric acid receptors. A change in the current of chlorine ions disrupts the conduction of nerve impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of the parasite.

After subcutaneous administration of the drug, aversectin C is rapidly absorbed, distributed in the organs and tissues of the animal, excreted from the body of animals mainly unchanged with feces, in lactating animals - partially with milk; in the external environment is rapidly destroyed.

According to the degree of impact on the body, according to GOST 12.1.007-76, it belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3), in recommended doses it does not have a mutagenic, embryotoxic and teratogenic effect.

INDICATIONS

Aversect-2 is prescribed to cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, reindeer, marals, elks and camels with therapeutic and prophylactic purposes for gadfly infestations, nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs, psoroptosis, chorioptosis, sarcoptic mange and syphunculosis.

Treatment of animals is carried out by a veterinarian, paramedic or specially trained people under their guidance.

APPLICATION

The drug is administered to animals in compliance with the rules of asepsis once or twice in the forearm or the back third of the neck at the doses indicated in the table.

When the drug is administered in a volume exceeding 10 cm ?, injections should be carried out in several places.

Treatment of animals with nematodes is carried out before stalling and in the spring before pasture, against gadfly invasions - immediately after the end of summer of gadflies, with sarcoptoidosis and entomoses - according to indications.

Each series of Aversect-2 is preliminarily tested on a small group (7-10 heads) of low-value animals. In the absence of complications within 3 days, they begin to process the entire livestock.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Empty vials from a medicinal product must not be used for domestic purposes, they are placed in a plastic bag and disposed of.

Areas of workplaces and transport contaminated with the drug are neutralized with 5% sodium hydroxide solution.

SIDE EFFECTS

In some animals, a local reaction in the form of a swelling may appear at the injection site, which disappears after 3-5 days without the use of therapeutic agents.

Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlier than 21 days after the last application. In the event of the forced slaughter of animals before the established deadline, the meat can be used as feed for animals or for processing into meat and bone meal.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

It is not allowed to use dairy, weakened and malnourished animals, as well as pregnant females whose milk will be used for food purposes, less than 21 days before lactation.

PRECAUTIONS

When working with Aversect-2, you should follow the general rules of personal hygiene and safety measures according to SanPin 1.2.1077-01.

Use rubber gloves when handling animals.

FIRST AID MEASURES

In case of accidental contact of the drug on the skin, wash it off with soap and water; in case of contact with eyes, rinse them thoroughly with running water, in case of contact with the digestive tract, immediately consult a doctor.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

Store in closed manufacturer's packaging, in a dry, dark place at a temperature from 0 В° C to 30 В° C. They are transported by all types of transport in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods and luggage, valid for this type of transport in accordance with GOST 17768 and SanPin 1.2.1077. The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions in an unopened package, is 3 years from the date of manufacture.
