Asterion DHPPiLR 5 vials / 5 doses
DESCRIPTION
Asterion DРќPPiLR is a vaccine against plague, adenovirus infections, parvovirus estrheritis, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and canine rabies. In appearance, the lyophilized component is a dry homogeneous fine-porous mass of yellow-pink color. The liquid component is a pink liquid with a sediment at the bottom of the bottle (adjuvant), which, when shaken, breaks down into a homogeneous suspension.
COMPOSITION
Dry component - Asterion DРќPPi - lyophilisate for preparation of suspension for injection (live vaccine) - made from attenuated industrial strains of canine plague virus, canine adenovirus type 2, canine parvovirus and canine parainfluenza virus with a drying medium;
Liquid component - Asterion LR - suspension for injection (inactivated vaccine) - is made from inactivated industrial strains of leptospira serogroups Icterohaemorrhagiae, Canicola and Grippotyphosa, inactivated industrial strain of rabies virus and aluminum hydroxide as an adjuvant.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Asterion DРќPPiLR is an immunobiological drug (vaccine).
The vaccine induces the formation of an immune response to plague, adenovirus infections, parvovirus enteritis, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and rabies 2-3 weeks after immunization, lasting 6-8 months in young animals, 12-15 months in adults.
One immunizing dose of the vaccine contains at least: canine plague virus 103'5 TCTs50, canine adenovirus type 2 103'0 TCDs0, pairs in canine virus 103'0 HAU, canine parainfluenza virus 103'5 TCTs50, rabies virus 1 IU, leptospira serogroups Icterohaemorrhagiae, Canicola and Grippotyphosa 3 x 108 microbial cells.
The vaccine is harmless and areactogenic, has no medicinal properties.
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
The vaccine is intended for the prevention of plague, adenovirus infections, parvovirus enteritis, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and canine rabies.
The vaccine is recommended for independent use, as well as in combination with the Asterion DP vaccine, if early vaccination of puppies is necessary, according to the following scheme: puppy age 6 weeks - Asterion DP, 9 weeks - DРќPPiLR, 12 weeks - DРќPPiLR.
Puppies are injected with the vaccine twice at 9-12 weeks of age with an interval of 21-28 days intramuscularly in the thigh or subcutaneously in the neck at a dose of 2.0 ml. Revaccination of puppies is carried out at the age of 10-12 months. Dogs of small and decorative breeds are immunized at a dose of 1.0 ml, for which the dry component is dissolved in 1.0 ml of the liquid component. Adult dogs are vaccinated once a year at a dose of 2 ml.
Before use in cold weather, the liquid component of the vaccine is heated to a temperature (36-38).
The lyophilized component is dissolved in the liquid component, shaken until a homogeneous suspension is obtained, excluding the precipitation of the vaccine components.
In the presence of insignificant non-breaking sediment, the vaccine is pipetted 3-5 times in the vial with a syringe until a uniform homogeneous suspension is obtained.
Vaccination is carried out in compliance with the rules of asepsis; only sterile materials and instruments are used for injection. A separate needle is used for each animal.
Inactivated vaccines with an adjuvant create a depot in the body of animals, as a result of which the process of drug resorption is slowed down and a longer and more active effect of antigens on the immunological process appears.
The intramuscular route of administration of the vaccine, which determines the most rapid formation of intense immunity, is recommended in areas that are unfavorable for infectious diseases of dogs. The subcutaneous method is used in areas free from infectious diseases of dogs.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Symptoms of plague, adenovirus infections, parvovirus enteritis, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and rabies or other pathological signs were not detected in case of an overdose of the vaccine.
The features of the post-vaccination reaction during primary and subsequent vaccinations have not been established.
Dogs in the last month of pregnancy and in the first month after giving birth and puppies up to 9 weeks of age are not subject to vaccination.
Violations of the schedule (timing) of vaccination should be avoided, since this can lead to a decrease in the effectiveness of immunoprophylaxis of plague, adenovirus infections, parvovirus enteritis, parainfluenza and leptospirosis in dogs. If the next vaccine injection is missed, it is necessary to immunize as soon as possible.
When administered subcutaneously at the site of the vaccine, a slight, painless lump under the skin may form, which dissolves within 2-4 weeks. In case of manifestation in some animals of allergic reactions to the administration of the vaccine, antihistamines are used.
The timing of the possible use of products of animal origin after the introduction of the vaccine is not established.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
It is forbidden to vaccinate clinically sick and / or weakened animals.
The vaccine is not used in the same syringe with other biological products and drugs, as well as within 7 days after deworming and 14 days after treatment with chlorine and phosphorus-containing drugs. The blood serum of vaccinated animals is not examined in the microagglutination reaction (PMA) for the presence of antibodies to leptospira within 2 months after the administration of the vaccine.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the vaccine is 18 months from the date of issue, subject to storage and transportation conditions. After the expiration date, the vaccine is not suitable for use. The vaccine must be used within 15 minutes after opening the bottle and dissolving.
The vaccine is stored and transported in a dry, dark place at a temperature of 2 В° C to 8 В° C.
PACKAGING
The dry and liquid components of the vaccine are packaged in 2.0 ml (1 dose) in vials or ampoules with a capacity of 3.0 ml. The vials are sealed with rubber stoppers, reinforced with aluminum caps, ampoules are hermetically sealed. Vials (ampoules) with the vaccine are packed in cardboard (plastic) boxes or blisters, 5 vials of dry and 5 vials of a liquid component. Each vaccine box contains instructions for its use.
