DESCRIPTION

Serum against pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, escherichiosis, parainfluenza-3 and infectious rhinotracheitis of cattle - the biological product in appearance is a light yellow liquid with a reddish tint, during storage a slight precipitate is formed, which easily breaks when the bottle is shaken.

COMPOSITION

Obtained from the blood of oxen, hyperimmunized with inactivated strains of salmonellosis, escherichiosis and pasteurellosis pathogens, avirulent strains of parainfluenza-3 viruses and infectious rhinotracheitis.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Hyperimmune serum contributes to the formation of passive immunity to the causative agents of salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, Escherichia coli, infectious rhinotracheitis and parainfluenza-3 in cattle, the tension of which is 10 days. Vaccines are used to form intense active immunity in animals to infections. The mechanism of action of serum is based on the binding and neutralization of pathogenic antigens by specific antibodies of the biological product. Hyperimmune serum is effective for the treatment of the above diseases, especially in the early stages of the infectious process, and is well combined with drugs used for symptomatic treatment (antimicrobial drugs and probiotics).

PURPOSE

Assign to cattle for the specific prevention and treatment of salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, escherichiosis, parainfluenza-3 and infectious rhinotracheitis.

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION

It is necessary to sterilize syringes and needles before injecting serum. A separate sterile needle is used for each animal. Before use, the bottle must be vigorously shaken, and the injection site must be treated with 70% ethyl alcohol. Before the introduction, the bottle should be heated in a water bath to a temperature of 36-38? РЎ. For prophylactic purposes, the serum is administered to animals subcutaneously twice with an interval of 7-10 days: calves 20-30 ml, adult animals 30-60 ml. For therapeutic purposes, serum is injected intramuscularly or intravenously at the initial stage of an infectious disease: calves 40-60 ml, adult animals 60-120 ml. The lack of a therapeutic effect after the injection indicates a different etiology of the disease and additional laboratory tests should be carried out to clarify the diagnosis.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Meat and offal obtained from animals that received hyperimmune serum are sold without restrictions. If the serum comes into contact with the skin or mucous membranes, it is recommended to rinse them with plenty of tap water. At the end of the treatment, hands should be thoroughly washed with warm water and soap. Used vials and syringes must be disposed of.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
