Amprolium 30% water-soluble powder 1kg
DESCRIPTION
Amprolium 30% is an anti-coccidial drug for the treatment and prevention of coccidosis in broiler chickens, replacement chickens and breeding poultry.
COMPOSITION
100 g of the preparation contains 30 g of amprolium hydrochloride and lactose as a filler. It is a white to light yellow powder, readily soluble in water.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Amprolium hydrochloride has a wide spectrum of anti-coccidial action, is effective against Eimeria tenella, E. acervulina, E. necatrix, E. maxima, E. mivati, E. brunetty and other species of coccidia parasitizing birds. The anticoccidial effect of amprolium is due to the closeness of its chemical structure to thiamine (vitamin B1), which is necessary for the life of coccidia. Due to active transport, amprolium better than thiamine penetrates the parasite cell and occupies the active centers of vitamin binding, which leads to disruption of carbohydrate metabolism and the death of the parasite. The structure of the cell membrane of the intestinal mucosa of birds and mammals is almost impermeable to amprolium, which makes the drug practically non-toxic when used in therapeutic doses. The main part of amprolium (up to 97%) is excreted from the body with feces. The drug does not interfere with the formation of anti-coccidial immunity, it is compatible with vitamins and well-known feed additives used in poultry farming. Refers to low-hazard substances - LD50 when administered orally to white mice is 135000 mg / kg.
