DESCRIPTION
Amoxiclav 62.5% (Amoksiklav) is a water-soluble powder for oral use in diseases of bacterial etiology of pigs and poultry. In appearance, the drug is a yellowish to yellow powder.
COMPOSITION
Contains in 100 g as active ingredients amoxicillin in the form of trihydrate - 50 g and clavulanic acid in the form of potassium salt - 12.5 g, and as auxiliary substances: sodium citrate, citric acid and mannitol.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Amoxiclav 62.5% water-soluble powder is a combined antibacterial drug.
The combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid provides a wide range of bactericidal activity of the drug against most gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms, including Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Clostridium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Erysip elothrix shusiopathia. ., Bacillus anthracis, Actinomyces bovis, Campylobacter spp., Clostridium spp., Cory nebacterium spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus spp., Including strains producing ОІ-lactamase, is a specific enzyme that causes the destruction of antibiotic molecules. -Lactam
The mechanism of action of amoxicillin is to disrupt the synthesis of mucopeptide of the cell wall of microorganisms by inhibiting the enzymes transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase, which leads to disruption of the osmotic balance and destruction of the bacterial cell.
Clavulanic acid, inhibiting ОІ-lactamase, protects amoxicillin from the action of the enzyme, which allows the antibiotic to have a quick bactericidal effect, including on penicillin-resistant microorganisms.
Amoxicillin and clavulanic acid are well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and penetrate into the organs and tissues of the animal's body, remaining in therapeutic concentrations for at least 12 hours after the application of Amoxiclav 62.5% of a water-soluble powder, are excreted from the body mainly with urine and partially with bile, mostly in unaltered form. Food intake does not significantly affect the absorption of the drug.
Amoxiclavtm 62.5% water-soluble powder according to the degree of impact on the body belongs to moderately hazardous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007).
DOSAGE AND APPLICATION
Amoxiclav 62.5% water-soluble powder is prescribed for therapeutic therapeutic and prophylactic purposes to pigs and poultry for diseases of bacterial etiology, including: colibacillosis, salmonellosis, bronchopneumonia, urinary infections, infections of the skin and soft tissues caused by microorganisms sensitive to the components of the drug.
Amoxiclav 62.5% water-soluble powder is used for therapeutic and therapeutic-prophylactic purposes orally for 3-5 days.
For agricultural birds, the drug is used with water for drinking in a daily dose of 4.0 g of the drug per 100 kg of bird weight.
The therapeutic solution is prepared at the rate of 30 g of the drug per 100 liters of water daily in a volume calculated for the consumption of a bird during the day. During the treatment period, the medicinal solution should serve as the only source of drinking for the birds.
For pigs, the drug is used individually with water for drinking twice a day in a single dose of 0.8-2.0 g per 100 kg of animal weight.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
In case of an overdose of the drug, the animal may experience a refusal to feed, vomiting, and diarrhea.
The peculiarities of the action of the drug during its first use and cancellation were not revealed.
The use of the drug is possible according to indications for pregnant and lactating sows, as well as newborn piglets.
Avoid skipping the next dose of the drug, as this can lead to a decrease in therapeutic effectiveness. If one dose is missed, the use of the drug is resumed in the same dose according to the same scheme.
Do not use Amoxiclav 62.5% water-soluble powder simultaneously with other drugs of the penicillin group, chloramphenicol, macrolides, sulfonylamides and tetracyclines.
Slaughter of birds for meat is allowed no earlier than 2 days, pigs - no earlier than 3 days after the last application of Amoxiclav 62.5% water-soluble powder. The meat of birds and pigs, forcedly killed earlier than the specified time, can be used as feed for fur animals.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
A contraindication to use is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to penicillin antibiotics and other components of the drug.
It is forbidden to use Amoxiclav 62.5% water-soluble powder for laying hens, whose eggs will be used for food purposes, and for replacement chickens less than 2 weeks before the start of oviposition, due to the accumulation of the drug in the eggs.
SIDE EFFECTS
When using the drug in accordance with the instructions, side effects and complications are usually not observed. In some animals with increased individual sensitivity to lactam antibiotics, allergic reactions may develop. In these cases, the use of the drug is discontinued and desensitizing therapy is performed.
SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE
The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions in a sealed package, is 3 years from the date of production. After the first opening of the package, you can use the drug for 7 days. It is prohibited to use the medicinal product after the expiration date.
Store Amoxiclav 62.5% water-soluble powder in the manufacturer's closed packaging, in a dry, dark place, separately from food and feed, at a temperature from 0 В° C to 25 В° C.
