Pharmacological action
Rinikold Broncho - a combined drug, its components guaifenesin and ambroxol reduce the viscosity of bronchial secretions and facilitate expectoration. Chlorphenamine maleate has an anti-allergic effect: eliminates lacrimation, itching in the eyes and nose. Phenylephrine hydrochloride has a vasoconstrictor effect, reduces swelling and hyperemia of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract and sinuses.
Indications
Symptomatic treatment of colds, flu and SARS, accompanied by a cough with hard-to-remove viscous sputum.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, simultaneous administration of other drugs containing substances that are part of Rinicold Broncho, simultaneous administration of tricyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, beta-blockers, convulsions of any etiology, severe arteriosis, arteriosis, arteriosis, arteriosis, arteriosis, diabetes, thyrotoxicosis, pheochromocytoma, angle-closure glaucoma, gastric and duodenal ulcer, prostate adenoma, d Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase enzyme deficiency, pregnancy, lactation, childhood (up to 6 years).
Special instructions
It is not recommended to take the drug for more than 7 days without a doctor's prescription.
When using the drug, it is possible to stain the urine in pink.
Dosage and Administration
Inside. Shake well before use!
The recommended dose for adults and children over 12 years of age is 20 ml (4 teaspoons) 3 times a day. The recommended dose for children 6-12 years old is 10 ml (2 teaspoons) 2-3 times a day. The drug should be evenly distributed throughout the day.
Side effects of
From the cardiovascular system: possible rise in blood pressure, tachycardia.
From the side of the central nervous system: headache, drowsiness, dizziness, increased irritability, impaired falling asleep. In children, excitement, anxiety, irritability are possible. In elderly patients, confusion and irritability are also possible.
From the digestive system: nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, pain in the epigastric region.
From the side of the organ of vision: mydriasis, accommodation paralysis, increased intraocular pressure.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, itching, Quincke's edema.
Other: dry mucous membranes, difficulty urinating.
Drug interaction
The drug enhances the effect of sedatives, ethanol.
Joint use with antidepressants, phenothiazine derivatives (chlorpromazine, trifluoperazin, levomepromazine), antiparkinsonian and antipsychotic drugs increase the risk of urinary retention, dry mouth, and constipation.
With simultaneous use with corticosteroids (prednisone, dexamethasone, triamcinolone), the risk of developing glaucoma increases. Chlorphenamine when used simultaneously with MAO inhibitors (nialamide), furazolidone can lead to hypertensive crisis, agitation, hyperpyrexia.
Use in conjunction with tricyclic antidepressants enhances the sympathomimetic effect, with halothane - increases the risk of ventricular arrhythmias, with guanethidine - its hypotensive effect decreases. Guanethidine, in turn, enhances the alpha-adrenostimulating activity of phenylephrine, which is part of the drug.
The simultaneous use of ambroxol and guaifenesin with antitussive drugs makes it difficult to discharge sputum.
Overdose
Symptoms: increased severity of side effects.
Treatment: gastric lavage, activated charcoal intake, laxatives (Vaseline oil, salt laxatives) symptomatic therapy. In case of severe disorders, you should consult a doctor.
