DESCRIPTION

Alben tablets (Tabulettae Albenum) - tablets for oral use for deworming animals.

COMPOSITION

A tablet weighing 0.6 g contains 25 mg of azinox and 250 mg of albendazole.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Alben C has a wide spectrum of anthelminthic action at all stages of the development of round and tapeworms, including Toxocara canis, Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum, Taenia spp., Echinococloccus granuloscus, Dipylinium cannula, Dipylinium cannula Multiceps multiceps, Mesocestoides spp., Parasitizing small domestic animals. The mechanism of action of the albendazole and praziquantel, which are part of the drug, is based on a violation of glucose transport and microtubular function of the parasite, inhibition of the activity of fumarate reductase and ATP synthesis, an increase in the permeability of cell membranes, which leads to disruption of neuromuscular innervation, paralysis and death of the parasite. Alben C belongs to the group of compounds with low toxicity for warm-blooded animals, in recommended doses does not have embryotoxic, teratogenic and sensitizing effects. Well tolerated by dogs and cats of different breeds and ages.

INDICATIONS

It is prescribed for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes for nematodes (toxocariasis, toxascariasis, uncinariosis, ankylostomiasis, trichocephalosis) and cestodoses (dipylidiosis, echinococcosis, diphyllobothriasis, mesocestoidosis and other teniidosis) in dogs and cats.

DOSES AND METHOD OF APPLICATION

Alben C is administered to the animals once, individually in the morning feeding with a small amount of food (water) or injected forcibly to animals weighing 2.5 kg or more, at the rate of 1 tablet per 5 kg of animal weight. For cats and small dogs, 1 tablet is crushed, suspended in 10 ml of water, vigorously shaken and immediately injected into the animal using a syringe without a needle, at the rate of 1 ml of suspension per 0.5 kg of animal weight. No prior fasting diet or laxatives are required. For prophylactic purposes, animals are dewormed on a quarterly basis at the above dose.

SIDE EFFECTS

Subject to the dosage are not observed.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Alben S should not be used in lactating and pregnant females, puppies under 3 weeks of age and kittens under 3 months of age.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

No special precautions are taken.

SHELF LIFE AND STORAGE

List B. In original packaging, protected from light, out of reach of children and animals, separately from food and feed, at temperatures from + 5 to + 25 В° C. The shelf life is 3 years.
