ACTIVE SUBSTANCE

Imidacloprid.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

The mechanism of action of imidacloprid is based on interaction with the acetylcholine receptors of arthropods and impaired transmission of nerve impulses, which causes the death of insects.

MODE OF APPLICATION

AdvantageВ® is used to kill insects (fleas, lice, lice) parasitizing cats, providing a protective effect against insects for 4 weeks after a single treatment of the animal.

AdvantageВ® is applied to animals once by drip application on dry, intact skin. The drug is applied to the animal's skin in places inaccessible for licking, on the back of the head.

After applying the drug to the skin, imidacloprid is gradually distributed over the entire surface of the body and accumulates in the epidermis, hair follicles and sebaceous glands of the animal, providing a long (up to 4 weeks) insecticidal effect.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

Treatment of pregnant and lactating females, if necessary, should be carried out with caution under the supervision of a veterinarian.

It is not recommended to bathe and pet the animal at the site of application of the drug until the site of application becomes dry.

SIDE EFFECTS

As a rule, side effects and complications when using the drug in accordance with this instruction are not observed.

In rare cases, after using the drug in some animals, individual skin reactions (redness, itching) are possible, which spontaneously disappear within 1-4 days and do not require the use of drugs.

Accidental licking of the drug by animals can cause salivation, since the drug tastes bitter, which is not a sign of poisoning and spontaneously disappears after a few minutes.

SHELF LIFE

The shelf life of the medicinal product, subject to storage conditions, is 5 years from the date of production.
