Indications
Reducing and eliminating inflammation and pruritus in dermatoses, amenable to glucocorticosteroid therapy in adults and children over the age of 2 years.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Pregnancy and lactation
Adequate, well-controlled studies of the teratogenic potential of mometasone furoate when used during pregnancy have not been conducted. The use of cream, ointment or lotion Elokom during pregnancy is possible only if the expected benefits of treatment for the mother will outweigh the potential risk to the fetus.
With systemic use, glucocorticosteroids appear in breast milk, which can lead to a slowdown in the growth of the baby, effects on the endogenous synthesis of glucocorticosteroids and other adverse effects. There is no evidence that systemic absorption of glucocorticosteroids when administered topically can cause their detectable amounts to appear in breast milk. However, due to the fact that many drugs are excreted in breast milk, nursing women should use cream, ointment, Elok lotion with caution.
