Pharmacological action

Enzistal - supplementing the deficiency of pancreatic enzymes.

Normalizes digestion. It facilitates the digestion of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, promotes their more complete absorption in the small intestine, has choleretic activity, stimulates the emulsification of fats and the breakdown of plant fiber, increases the activity of lipase, improves the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K).

Pharmacodynamics

Improves the functional state of the digestive tract and normalizes digestion, helps cleanse the intestines from contents and gases.

Indications

Insufficiency of exocrine pancreatic function in cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis

Dosage and administration

Inside, without chewing, during or immediately after a meal, with a small amount of liquid.

Adults - 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. Higher doses are prescribed by a doctor. Children over 6 years old (as prescribed by the doctor) - 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.

The duration of treatment can vary from a few days (if the digestive process is disturbed due to errors in the diet) to several months or years (if constant replacement therapy is necessary).

Before X-ray examination or ultrasound - 2 tablets 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days before the study.

Side effects

Nausea, cramping in the abdomen, diarrhea, pain in the mouth and anus (in children), increased concentration of uric acid in the blood and urine, allergic reactions (sneezing, lacrimation, urticaria, bronchospasm).

Drug interaction

cimetidine, antacids enhance the effect. Reduces the bioavailability of iron preparations.
