Pharmacological action of
Chondroxide® gel has a combined effect:
slows down the progression of osteoarthrosis and osteochondrosis
has an analgesic effect
has an anti-inflammatory effect
stimulates the restoration of articular cartilage srdlkrd joint improves mobility.
Due to the optimal combination of gel components, there is a mutual strengthening of their analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects.
The use of the drug Chondroxide®, gel allows you to reduce the dose of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Chondroxide® contains the natural component of chondroitin sulfate (high molecular weight mucopolysaccharide), which is involved in the construction of cartilage tissue. Chondroitin sulfate: - improves the phosphorus-calcium metabolism in
cartilage tissue - reduces the activity of enzymes that destroy
cartilage tissue - inhibits
cartilage degeneration (destruction) - stimulates the synthesis of
glycosaminoglycans - prevents connective tissue collapse.
This results in less soreness and increased mobility of the affected joints.
Pharmacokinetics
Chondroxide® Gel is well absorbed. According to the data obtained in experimental studies in mice using radiolabeled 3H chondroitin sulfate, the absorption rate of chondroitin sulfate is 14%. Dimegyl sulfoxide promotes better penetration of chondroitin sulfate through cell membranes deep into the tissues. Chondroitin sulfate after applying the drug Chondroxide® gel to the skin quickly and selectively enters the joint with maximum concentration after 30 minutes and subsequent two-phase removal of the drug from the cartilage tissue. The completion of the fast phase of excretion occurs 1 hour after application. The retention time of the drug in the joint is 5 hours.
Indications
Treatment and prevention of degenerative diseases of the joints and spine: peripheral joint osteoarthritis and spinal osteochondrosis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Precautions
Pregnancy, lactation, childhood (efficacy and safety not established).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Chondroxide should be used with caution and after consulting a doctor during pregnancy and during lactation (breastfeeding).
Composition of
100 g of gel contain: Active ingredient
Chondroitin sulfate - 5 g.
Excipients
Dimethyl sulfoxide, propylene glycol, isopropanol, ethanol (95% ethyl alcohol), sodium disulfite (sodium metabisulfite), nipagin, nipazole, carbopol, orange flavor, identical to natural, purified water - up to 100 g.
Dosage and Administration
Externally.
Chondroxide® gel is applied 2-3 times a day to the skin above the lesion and rubbed for 2-3 minutes until completely absorbed. The course of treatment is from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 months. If necessary, repeat the treatment.
