Pharmacological action
Akriderm SK - a combined preparation for external use, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antiseptic, keratolytic effects.
Betamethasone dipropionate - a glucocorticosteroid, has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-exudative, decongestant and antipruritic effect. It inhibits the accumulation of white blood cells, the release of lysosomal enzymes and pro-inflammatory mediators in the focus of inflammation, inhibits phagocytosis, reduces vascular tissue permeability, and prevents the formation of inflammatory edema.
Salicylic acid provides a keratolytic, antimicrobial effect, eliminates horny deposits and promotes deeper penetration of glucocorticosteroid.
Indications
Topical treatment of dermatoses accompanied by hyperkeratosis: psoriasis, limited and diffuse neurodermatitis, lichen planus, eczema, dyshidrotic dermatitis, ichthyosis and ichthyosiform changes.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the drug, skin tuberculosis, perioral dermatitis, rosacea (rosacea), trophic ulcers in the presence of chronic venous insufficiency, skin tumors (skin cancer, nevus, atheroma, epithelioma, melanoma, hemangi xanthoma, sarcoma) skin manifestations of syphilis, chickenpox, herpes simplex, skin vaccine reactions, open wounds, lactation, children under 1 year old.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The safety of topical use of glucocorticosteroids in pregnant women has not been established. The prescription of this group of drugs during pregnancy is justified only if the potential benefit outweighs the possible risk.
During pregnancy, this group of drugs should not be used in high doses or for a long time.
Not installed whether local use of glucocorticosteroids can cause them to appear in mother’s milk, therefore, the question of stopping breastfeeding should be decided.
Special instructions
If signs of hypersensitivity or skin irritation associated with the use of the drug are noted, treatment should be discontinued and appropriate therapy should be selected for the patient.
With prolonged treatment, when applying the drug to large surfaces of the skin, when using occlusive dressings, as well as in children, systemic absorption of glucocorticosteroids is possible.
For children from 1 year of age, the drug is prescribed only according to strict indications and under medical supervision, since the development of systemic side effects associated with betamethasone is possible. When using the drug on large surfaces and / or under an occlusive dressing, it is possible to suppress the function of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal system and the development of symptoms of hypercorticism, a decrease in the growth hormone excretion, an increase in intracranial pressure can be observed.
On the skin of the face more often than on other surfaces of the body, after prolonged treatment with topical glucocorticosteroids, atrophic changes can occur, the course of treatment in this case should not exceed 5 days.
Akriderm SK ointment is not intended for use in ophthalmology. Avoid contact with eyes.
With prolonged use of the drug, its withdrawal should be carried out gradually.

Dosage and Administration
Externally. Akriderm SK is applied in a thin layer to the affected area of the skin 2 times a day - in the morning and in the evening.
Another frequency of use may be determined by your doctor based on the severity of the disease.
In mild cases, the ointment is sufficient to apply, as a rule, once a day for more severe lesions, more frequent use may be necessary.
Side effects of
Topical administration of glucocorticosteroids may include: burning, irritation, dry skin, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acne-like rashes, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis.
With prolonged use, as well as the use of occlusive dressings - maceration of the skin, secondary infection, skin atrophy, sweating, purpura.
When applied to large areas of the body, mainly in children, systemic side effects of glucocorticosteroids and salicylates may occur. In the event of adverse reactions not described in the instructions, you should consult a doctor.
