Pharmacological action

Immunomodulating drug with anti-inflammatory effect.

The mechanism of action is associated with the ability to influence the functional and metabolic activity of macrophages. In inflammatory diseases, it reversibly (for 6-8 hours) inhibits the excessive synthesis of tumor necrosis factor, interleukin-1 and other pro-inflammatory cytokines, reactive oxygen species by hyperactivated macrophages, determining the degree of inflammatory reactions, their cyclicity, as well as the severity of intoxication. Normalization of the functional state of macrophages leads to the restoration of antigen-presenting and regulatory functions of macrophages, and a decrease in the level of autoaggression.

The drug stimulates the bactericidal activity of neutrophilic granulocytes, enhancing phagocytosis and increasing the nonspecific resistance of the body to infectious diseases.

The main pharmacological effects are observed within 72 hours.

With the simultaneous use of Galavit with antibiotics, a decrease course doses of the latter.

Ingredients

1 rectal suppository contains:

Active substance: sodium aminodihydrophthalazinedione - 100 mg.

Excipients: Witepsol W-35 (glycerides of fatty acids), Witepsol H-15 (glycerides of fatty acids).

Dosage and administration

The dosage regimen and duration of therapy are set individually depending on the nature, severity and duration of the disease.

The drug should be used rectally. The suppository is freed from contour packaging and then introduced into the rectum. The intestines are recommended to be freed first.

In acute intestinal infections accompanied by diarrhea: the initial dose is 2 supp. once. Then - 1 supper. 2 times / day until relief of symptoms of intoxication. Possible subsequent continuation of the course of 1 supp. with an interval of 72 hours. The course is 20-25 supp.

For peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute period: the drug is prescribed 2 supp. 1 time / day for 2 days, then - 1 supp. with an interval of 72 hours. The course is 15-25 supp. In the chronic period, the drug is prescribed for 5 days, 1 supp. 1 time / day, then - 1 supp. after 72 hours. The course is 20 supp.

For viral hepatitis: the initial dose is 2 supp. 1 time / day, then 1 supp. 2 times / day until relief of symptoms of intoxication and inflammation. Possible subsequent continuation of the course of 1 supp. with an interval of 72 hours. The course is 20-25 supp.

In case of chronic recurrent herpetic infection: appoint 1 supp. within 5 days, then - 1 supp. every other day for 15 days.

For diseases caused by HPV: the drug is prescribed for 5 days, 1 supp. 1 time / day, then - 1 supp. in one day. The course is 20 supp.

For urogenital infections (chlamydial and trichomonas urethritis, chlamydial prostatitis): 1 suppository is prescribed. 2 times / day for 1 day, then - 1 supp. in one day. The course is 10-15 supp. depending on the severity of the pathological process.

With salpingoophoritis, endometritis in the acute period: 2 suppositories are prescribed for 2 days. 1 time / day, then - 1 supp. with an interval of 72 hours. In the chronic period, the drug is prescribed for 5 days, 1 supp. 1 time / day, then - 1 supp. every 72 hours. The course is 20 soup.

With PID in the acute period: the drug is prescribed in 1 day 2 supp. once, then for 3 days, 1 supp. 1 time / day, then - 1 supp. every other day for 5 days. The course is 10 supp. In the chronic period, the drug is prescribed for 5 days, 1 supp. 1 time / day, then - 1 supp. every 72 hours. The course is 20 supp.

For postoperative rehabilitation of patients with uterine myoma and complications of the postoperative period in patients of reproductive age: the drug is prescribed for 5 days for 1 supp. 1 time / day, then - 1 supp. in one day. The course is 15 supp.

For the prevention and treatment of surgical complications in the preoperative and postoperative period (including in cancer patients): the drug is prescribed before surgery - within 5 days, 1 supp. 1 time / day, after surgery - 1 supp. every other day (5 supp.) and 5 supp. with an interval of 72 hours. In severe cases of the disease, the initial dose of the drug is 2 supp. once or 1 supp. 2 times / day Course - 20 supp.

In case of chronic recurrent furunculosis, erysipelas: the drug is prescribed for 5 days, 1 supp. 1 time / day, then - 1 supp. in one day. The course is 20 supp.

For asthenic conditions, neurotic and somatoform disorders, mental, behavioral and post-withdrawal disorders, alcohol and drug addiction: the drug is prescribed for 5 days for 1 supp. 1 time / day, then - 1 supp. after 72 hours. The course is up to 20 supp.

To increase physical performance: the drug is prescribed 1 supp. every other day - 5 supp., then - 1 supp. after 72 hours. The course is up to 20 supp.

For inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity and throat, periodontal disease: the initial dose of the drug is 1 supp. 1 time / day for 5 days, then - 1 supp. - with an interval of 72 hours. Course - 15 supp.

Side effects

Rarely: allergic reaction.

Overdose

There have been no reports of overdoses of Galavit to date.
