Pharmacological action

Citovir is a complex immunomodulating drug, intended for the prevention and early pathogenetic treatment of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). It has an antiviral, immunomodulatory effect.

Bendazole, which is part of the drug, induces the production of endogenous interferon in the body. Interferon-induced enzymes in cells of various organs inhibit virus replication. In addition, by activating immunocompetent cells, the drug helps to normalize the immune status.

Timogen sodium acts on the T-cell immunity.

Ascorbic acid activates the humoral component of immunity, normalizes the permeability of capillaries, thereby inhibiting the inflammatory process.

Indications

Prevention and symptomatic treatment of the early stages of influenza and other acute respiratory viral infections.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy and lactation, children under 6 years of age.

Special instructions

Use with caution in atopic bronchitis, thrombophlebitis, tendency to thrombosis, as well as in individuals receiving anticoagulant therapy.

Composition

1 capsule contains ascorbic acid 50 mg, bendazole 20 mg, sodium thymogen 500 Ојg

excipients: milk sugar, calcium stearate sufficient amount to a mass of 0.17 g

Dosage and administration of

Citovir-3 is taken orally, orally 30 minutes before meals. The regimens for the purpose of prevention and treatment are identical.

Adults and children 6 years of age and 1 capsule 3 times a day for 4 days.

For preventive purposes, a second course of treatment can be carried out after 3-4 weeks.

Side effects of

From the cardiovascular system: a short-term decrease in blood pressure in patients suffering from vegetative-vascular dystonia.

Other: allergic reactions.

Drug Interactions

At recommended doses, Citovir-3 is compatible with all agents used for the symptomatic treatment of influenza and other acute respiratory viral diseases.

Overdose of

With a 4-fold excess of the daily dose or long-term use of the drug, a short-term decrease in blood pressure is possible in patients suffering from vegetative-vascular dystonia and in elderly patients.

Storage Conditions
