Pharmacological action of
Allokin-alpha - antiviral agent - oligopeptide, pharmacologically similar to interferon alfa.
Inducer of the synthesis of endogenous interferons and an activator of the killer cell system. Stimulates the recognition and lysis of defective cells by cytotoxic lymphocytes.
Effective for infections caused by herpes simplex viruses type I and II, as well as hepatitis B and influenza A and B.
It does not have general toxicity, allergenic, mutagenic, carcinogenic, embryotoxic effects and does not affect reproductive function.
An increase in the concentration of interferon is observed 2 hours after the administration of the drug, a high concentration remains (2-2.5 times higher than the usual background) for 6-8 hours with a decrease to the initial values at the end of the day.
Increased functional activity of NK killers is observed within 7 days after administration of the drug.
Indications
Chronic papillomavirus infection, chronic recurrent herpes of types 1 and 2, as part of complex therapy of moderate (icteric) forms of acute hepatitis B.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug, pregnancy and lactation, severe autoimmune diseases, children under 12 years of age.
Composition of
1 ampoule contains 1 mg alloferon.
Dosage and administration of
Allokin-alpha is administered subcutaneously.
The standard course of treatment for infections caused by oncogenic types of human papillomavirus includes injections of the drug at a dose of 1 mg every other day, for a total of 6 injections.
The standard course of treatment for herpes recurrence includes injections of the drug at a dose of 1 mg every other day, for a total of 3 injections.
In moderate forms of acute hepatitis B, the drug is administered after verification of the diagnosis at a dose of 1 mg 3 times a week for 3 weeks (a total of 9 injections).
To prepare an injection solution, 1 ml of a 0.9% sodium chloride solution is used as a solvent.
Side effects
Possible: weakness, dizziness, the formation of new elements of a herpes rash.
Drug Interactions
In the treatment of chronic recurrent genital herpes, it may be prescribed in combination with acyclovir.
In acute hepatitis B, the drug is prescribed against the background of generally accepted basic therapy.
Storage conditions
